This book is very suspenseful and full of mysterious happenings. I loved this book because it is mysterious and terrifying at the same time. One of the characters hear voices and music, but they do not know from where it ios coming. You must read this book!

Good book!,
A Kid's Review

I really liked this book! I loved the way it was written and I liked reading it during class!(When I wasn't paying attention!) The only problem that I had with it was that Angie was making out with a guy she had known for like, 3 hours all together. It was really strange....like West Side story! But other than that, I loved the book!

Recommendation:I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in mystery books. This is a spine-tingling story full of the characters fears. Like when Angie got locked in the shed. It showed all of her fears. "Please,'' she begged. "Please open the door." She tried to keep the fear out of her voice, but she heard the waver that showed how desperate she felt. "Please," she whispered. It also makes your heart pound faster when you read the book. Like the one part when they were in the bedroom for the first time, the three stood in the doorway of the bedroom, listening. "Listen...Angie whispered." Then the music started. Not a proper, eerie tune, suitable for a haunted house. But dance music, party music. Faintly, behind and between the notes, came the sound of someone laughing. This is a very interesting book and very fun to read. Like I said, if you are interested in mystery books then this is the book you need to read.

Overall, a pretty average book. The plot was there (kind of), but the writing was HORRIBLE!! There were times I was thinking a child must have written it. A few parts kept me reading, but I knew who the "bad guy" was the whole time. The ending was pretty good, but overall only a book to read if you're bored and you have nothing else to do.

I couldn't believe how lame this was.It was horribly written! This was the first Steiner book I read, and I wasn't pleased. Maybe the others are good. This one was written with no detail or suspense. It was so uninteresting, I stopped at two-thirds of the book and read the end. I was bored out of my mind. There's a book of hers about a teen rap line that I don't remember the name if, but I want to check out. I hope it's better!

A group of friends go to a Texas beach and rent a strange house because all hotels were taken. Lots of strange mysterious things happen, like old fashoined music, an incident in which one girl is locked on the balcony, the mysterious owner, and a stranger.
