5.0 out of 5 stars Doctors orders
Well, I have to take all three of these for various reasons. I need to take at least 400mg of magnesium a day, Zinc for copper.

1.0 out of 5 stars Warning Contains Gluten
Since gluten has been clearly implicated in leaky gut syndrome and since leaky gut is implicated in arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, etc, don't buy this product if you suffer from most of the conditions that call for supplementation of calcium magnesium and zinc.

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid These, April 17, 2009

Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Oxide are the cheapest forms of these nutrients and are very poorly absorbed. Look for a product that uses "citrate" forms. Products made with Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Oxide often pass completely through the digestive tract intact (unabsorbed). Also look at the other ingredients, this is not a quality product.

5.0 out of 5 stars big white pills, December 31, 2007
By

These big white pills are a staple of my daily vitamin routine. They are always sold out of these at Wal-Mart, so I'm glad to find them here. I have read that calcium helps with weight loss, and since I started taking these I have lost 9 pounds. I am breastfeeding though, so that might have something to do with it too. Also, supplemementing with large amounts of calcium through out my menstrual cycle seems to have helped me avoid the premenstrual drop in milk supply that can occur every month, and helps with managing PMS. I read just yesterday in the January issue of Self Magazine that supplementing with calcium, magnesium and zinc, along with fish oil (which I also take) increases libido in women, and now that I read that, I realize that my husband and I have been quite a bit more "active" than usual as well, so there may be something to that.

I'm glad to have found this mineral supplement, and I haven't had any trouble digesting it or anything. I take it at night before bed, with a fish oil capsule. That is four pills, but it is a large dose. I do wonder if the body is able to absorb that much calcium at one time, but I take a prenatal vitamin in the morning and I think the iron in my prenatal would decrease the absorbtion of the calcium. I'm sure that ideally this should be spread out through out the day, but I haven't been able to do it yet.
