Spring Valley Fish/ flaxseed/ Borage Oil

Do your own research, but here is the synopsis of mine: Avoid during pregnancy, especially 1st trimester. There are many web sources that speculate that Borage Oil is a teratogen, and these appear to cite one speculative comment in a single research paper. However it is almost always suggested to err on the safe side of avoidance in pregnancy. It's not clear exactly how much Borage Oil is in this formulation. Also, Borage Oil should be PA-free as pyrrolizidine alkaloids are considered toxic. The main reason for taking Borage Oil is for GLA which your body probably makes a sufficient amount of. Algae based (algal) DHA is an alternative that provides some of the desribable fatty acids while avoiding mercury from fish oil and other toxic contaminants such as in Borage Oil.

I ordered this for my self, and it's exactly what i expected, the only thing is that the soft gels are a little bit big, wasn't a problem for me, but i think it would be hard for kids to swallow easily "Although the have the tendency to swallow nickles :)"

The most bang for the buck regarding ACTUAL omega/DHA per softgel and quality. It's cheaper at walmart online ($7), but it's still a great deal for $13.

At first it looked like other fish oil products I tried; the price was right and that's why I bought it. It has more benefits than the previous fish oil product I used and I'll look for this product again.

I love this product. I covers all three omegas 3, 6 and 9. I take one in the am and one in the pm. I love fish but never eat as much as I should.
