This item is so simple. It is a thermometer on a static cling plastic base. I was going to put it on my sliding glass doors because I figured it would help deter birds from flying into the glass but it is about an inch and a half thick in order to accommodate the thermometer mechanism so it is not recommended for sliding glass doors. It is a great item otherwise. It works well, is visible and attractive enough. It also does not cut down light or really obscure the view out of the window. I recommend it as a simple solution to your question of the day, "how cold is it outside?" As the instructions recommend, find a shady spot that does not get direct sunlight.

Product works as advertise. Gives easy to see, accurate readings, and sticks to glass as though it were glued in place. It is installed on a terrace door were high winds and bad weather have yet to dislodge it. However, I have not tried it on a moving vehicle.

We had the exact thermometer before, and it lasted for many years.
This past summer, we had our house painted and the painters removed it from window; we discovered that in no longer worked and we were lost without it! Tried another "window cling" thermometer with a pretty chickadee on it, but it was difficult to read as the print was way too small. Went back to Amazon and found the original and we're happy again....great price and service, too! Thank you!
