5.0 out of 5 stars THESE WORKED GREAT
I've had a problem with pantry moths for two years now, it's discusting to pour pasta into boiling water to find larva floating to the top and have to start over only to have the same problem in the next box. I had cleaned and thrown away EVERYTHING in my pantry that wasn't in a can three times and yet the moths were still around. This time, I bought these traps,...

1.0 out of 5 stars don't bother
I previously used Roxide pantry moth traps and found them very effective. I tried this brand because it was less expensive. Had both this product and an older Roxide trap in the pantry. The older Roxide trap continued to catch moths while this product failed to catch any moths.

This time, I bought these traps, cleaned, chucked anything that could be infested and put everything else in the freezer for three days. Plastic baggies, recipe books, garbage bags, paper cups, etc. They don't just get into food, so anything that is paper or in a cardboard box should be put in the freezer and it will kill them (bags of dog bones too I put in the freezer). Within two weeks, both traps in the package were FULL. I bought two more and they continued to catch moths until there were no more to catch. These traps worked great. Combined with a thorough cleaning and swatting the occasional female lingering on the ceiling and walls, I am finally moth free and can open a box of cake mix without sifting through the whole thing. SO NICE. I bought a back up box of moth traps just in case I ever bring any more home from the groccery store, I know I can get rid of them with these. Be careful not to touch the glue and don't touch the bait, use tweezers and I suggest getting two, the moths can have a life cycle up to 300 days (in colder temps) so you may think they are gone, but are just in egg or larve cycle. I am seriously so happy to finally be rid of these pesky pests.

This product really works! I saw a couple of months in the pantry brought in by a package of pecans. I thought I had killed them all but several days later, more hatched! I placed these in the pantry and within days I had things under control again. I am buying more to have on hand...just in case!

I have used these traps and found them to work very well. However, due to the higher costs, I'm going to give the Catchmaster brand a try next time. If they don't work, I'll be back for more of these tried and true.

I bought these since I had those pesky pantry moths that I couldn't get rid of no matter how much I cleaned and put into the refrigerator. Putting these in the kitchen, 1 in the pantry, 1 over the sink window and 1 over the refrigerator and they were gone within a few days. The bait does work as I noticed when assembling the 2nd trap. I had moths flying right into my hands where I was handling the bait! After the winter I had to stock up on more since they still seem to come back. Hopefully I won't need these forever, but they work great.

1.0 out of 5 stars Maybe my moths are picky., March 25, 2011

I read pretty much every review on different kinds of moth traps. Most every brand had been reviewed glowingly by some and as disappointing by others. So, I purchased this one about a month ago. The moth problem in our house seemed to be under control, but we'd seen that before and then been greeted by polenta with moths (not my kind of recipe).

The few moths that were left ignored the trap. Now I'm seeing a few more. Uh, oh. They too are ignoring the traps. I've seen them fly right by them! I guess different moths like different pheromones. Seriously though, I wish manufacturers would give more information as to why a product will work for some moth problems and not for others.

Moths in the house. Check. Moths in the traps. None.

Time to look for another kind.

The title says it all. Moths were joined all around the trap -- literally -- yet the trap remained empty. Pheromone baited?

Bought two of these and two other types. With these I caught a total of one moth out of hundreds in the house. I think he flew in accidently. Moths landed many times within a foot or two but showed no interest in the traps. Very disappointing.

I ordered a number of these because they were well-rated and less costly than the ones I had been using. So far, however, the moths seem very disinterested. I found the Xlure RTU traps more effective in my home.

Worked okay to get rid of moths in conjunction with a thorough clean and keeping all food in oxo boxes.
