These WORK! Each package contains eight little "spongy" red rings. They look like smaller, squishy red Life Savers. You must wear rubber gloves when handling. Simply place the rings around the base of each stalk on the infested rose bush. I am buying more because you really need to put one on EACH stalk. My climbing rose looks great after 4-5 days EXCEPT for the one stalk that did not have a ring. As the rest of the bush is treated, that single stalk looks like an aphid resort.

This is a fantastic product. Last year I had aphids nearly destroy the eggplant. As soon as the aphids showed up this year, I added the Springster Oak Stump Aphid Chaser in the garden and within a few days, the aphids had disappeared. I replaced the chaser about every 6 weeks and we had no aphid problem this summer. It's a great way to get totally rid of aphids without spraying vegetables plants with pesticides.

These things work.
I have several exotic trees growing in my backyard that seem to attract aphids like a magnet. I've tried using many types of insecticide, but they all burn the leaves, even insecticidal soap. Even releasing a swarm of ladybugs was unable to stop them (the ants would attack them to protect the aphids). I had resorted to blasting the aphids off individual leaves using a spray bottle but this was taking more and more time and the aphids would always re-appear the next day. In desperation, I ordered Aphid Chaser and attached 5 of the dispensers to my largest tree (about 15' tall) on strategically located branches around the tree and 2 dispensers to each or my smaller trees. That may have been overkill, but I was very frustrated at that point. Within hours of applying, I could tell something was happening. A large aphid colony nearby started doing the 'wave', just like people would do at a stadium! Ripples of movement would run through the colony. I had never seen them do anything like that before! As time went on the 'waves' became more and more frequent and pronounced as the aphids became more and more agitated. Four days later, I could not find a single aphid on any of my trees! This is amazing because there were literally 1000s of them before I applied the dispenser! Anyway, fantastic product, easy to use and works like a charm on more than just roses.
