Product Description

Longevity for dogs is a powdered formula to be mixed into wet food feeding programs. This product combines the best principles of Fresh Factors plus Joint Health but goes even further. This is the strongest rejuvenating product we have for dogs. It is especially useful for daily detoxification, which is extremely important considering the dangers of common household chemicals and environmental toxins. Bug Off Garlic is highly complementary for best long-term protection. Dogs: Give one scoop (approx. 8 grams - density may vary) per 40 lb body weight per day. For best results, start out with just a sprinkle for the first few days and increase gradually to at least one full scoop per 40 lb of body weight per day. Dosage may be doubled or tripled if faster, more dramatic benefits are desired. Larger doses are recommended for older dogs or dogs with infirmities.

Longevity is an incredible canine supplement and I can't say enough positive stuff about how it's helped my young German Shepherd. The following is a lengthy review and will probably only be of interest to those dog owners who haven't found anything else that works for their pooch's joint/health issues. In fact, I would first recommend trying at least one of the more palatable joint supplements before trying the Longevity. While my dog has experienced fabulous results with it, it isn't an easy option in my opinion.

**Based on comments here and emails I've received, I really want to emphasize that this is NOT a palatable supplement that you can simply sprinkle on most dogs' food. My experience has been that it takes a bit of disguising to get your dog to eat it. For my dog, it has given wonderful results and is well worth the effort, though.**

I first noticed my pup walking funny when he was 11-12 weeks old. Took him to my vet who suspected a genetic hip problem. By the time he was 5 months old, he looked like an old arthritic dog when he tried to get up from a down position. He still had all the enthusiasm of a young pup -- his body was just not cooperating. So he was x-rayed and diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia and arthritis when he was only 5 months old...basically his hip joints were completely malformed. Went to 2 different orthopedic vets who said that the less extreme surgical options (TPO, etc.) were not an option for him. Full hip replacements of both hip joints would be only option and with no guarantee that his quality of life would improve (not to mention the $10,000 cost for both hips!). Docs prescribed strong NSAIDS (anti-inflammatories) along with strong pain meds to be given twice/day for rest of life.

I have a 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier that has had a lot problems over the past 6 months. When he was about 2 years old he got kicked in the head by a horse, and we thought we were going to lose him. He's a fighter and pulled through, but due to that kick it's caused arthritis in his neck which started pinching a nerve causing him to hardly be able to move. The vet started him on steroids, and that worked MIRACLES but you can't use steroids for long periods of time and it caused him to be a bit more aggressive and unable to hold his bladder. After about a month after stopping the steroids he was going downhill and starting to not be able to go up the 2 stairs to get out of the living room and he didn't want to get out of bed. I was desperate to find something to help relieve his pain because I was not ready to put him down like my mom was suggesting for me to do if he got any worse. I went to Petsmart to find anything that could help, and I ended up talking with a vet tech and she recommended me to look into Springtime Inc. They have so many products so I talked to the company and they helped me decide what would be best for my dog. I didn't want to wait for it to be shipped so my husband and I made the hour and a half trip to the company/factory (in Cockeysville, MD) to pick it up ourselves. We've been giving him Longevity along with the Advanced Hip and Joint and Fresh factors for about 3 weeks now and he's running around with my other dogs. He's still got a bit of a limp, but he's not in pain anymore and I'm sure he'll get even better the longer we keep him on it. I wish they carried the rest of the Springtime Inc. supplements on Amazon, but I'll definitely be getting my Longevity from Amazon now to save some money. Only reason for 4 stars is because he doesn't love the taste, but we add stuff he loves to his food to get him to eat all of it. Highly recommend all Springtime Inc. products, they have it for horses and people, too.

Bought this for my 16yr old German Shepherd as a "last resort" to get him walking again. We had to carry him outside and he was miserable. Got this in last Friday and 5 days later he is back to getting up on his own and walking to the door. He still isn't 100%, and leary of the hardwood floors, but a HUGE improvement in just a couple of days. Will definitely buy again!

My lab mix was 9 in October. She has hip dysplacia and had really slowed down a lot. She stopped getting up to greet us at the door when we arrived home, she stopped getting up on her spot on the couch, and began to limp some after walks. Based on other reviews, particularly the one about the extensive one about the German Shepard puppy I decided to try this.

My dogs is just under 50 lb, and we started with 1/2 a scoop and have worked up to 4 scoops a day. We are almost done with the first container and she is SO MUCH MORE FRISKY. It has taken about two years off her age so far after 3 weeks of use. She is now jumps up as soon as she hears the garage door open and seems to be much more playful again, joining in games of fetch and perching back up on her spot on the couch. Due to the weather, I haven't taken her out on any walks since we started, but I've caught her trotting happy around the backyard again.

My dog has never been a picky eater, and she just scarfs the green powder and licks the bowl clean. Interestingly, my 1 year old lab mix who is a very picky eater LOVES the green powder too. I give her 1 scoop a day since she is my running buddy to help protect her joints. The powder smells like the seaweed wraps used for sushi, which I can't stand, but my dogs love. It does not give them seaweed breath, nor any other changes in odor.

Now if it only helps with shedding....
