It wirelessly hooked my bluetooth enable device to any iPod dock.
PJ
The sound quality is generally very good--there is none of the interference I have experienced on any of the FM transmitters I have used.
B. Carlen
Unfortunately, the sound quality is pretty wretched, even by the relatively low standards of the stock stereo and speakers.

Tried this on a 2010 Audi A4 with 3G MMI and it did't work. Tried it on our 2010 Mercedes GL with the iPod kit, and it also didn't work.

I found this product about a month ago hoping it would be the solution to all my car troubles. And it kind of was. It worked. It wirelessly hooked my bluetooth enable device to any iPod dock. HOWEVER! The audio quality was TERRIBLE. The treble is very tinny and blows out when songs go very him/ loud. Im convinced this is not my phone's problem or my speakers problem because I used my computer and 3 other speakers, and ALL shared the terrible audio quality. I also tried every conceivable combination of volume, but nothing could cover up the awful audio quality.

Why Im really writing this review is to tell everyone about another product that is exactly the same and is HALF the price and WORKS PERFECTLY. Go to Ebay and search for "Bluetooth a2dp ipod adapter dock". There is an unbranded product that is just a black/ white slab that is just perfect. THIS product is exactly what the Sprint FIPO hopes to be. The sound quality is PERFECT and I have been using it ever since.

All and all, I would NEVER EVER NEVER recommend this to anyone. The audio quality is so bad that it compares to those fm transmitters. PLEASE GO TO EBAY AND BUY THE OTHER PERFECT ONE.

P.S. though the product was terrible, the seller was very accommodating and even sent me another one to try out. Sadly I am still returning them.

This was recommended as a way to get bluetooth streaming audio on Infiniti EX35's and FX35's. Unfortunately Infiniti changed something in the iPod interface in the '10 model year, and the Fipo is no longer recognized as an iPod by the audio system. Recommendations for an Infiniti-compatible bluetooth receiver that enables the stearing wheel controls appreciated.

This is VERY well priced for it can do. I use it to convert my cars ipod adapter to something that'll stream my phone's audio so I can listen to all digital radio. This works perfectly. My cars steering wheel controls WORK with my blackberry's media player and will work with next, previous, seeking etc. Basically any function my ipod and phone share, the car will now control it. The only downside is that when get a call, that the call audio doesnt go through the stereo, but that's not really what I want it for anyway so I'm not complaining at all. Basically I bought this so I didnt have to install a 250 dollar stereo just for an aux adapter for my phone. 20 dollars will replace it. BUY

To the people of [...] - wait until this is available because this will help anyone who wants bluetooth audio in their car but only have an ipod adapter. this doesnt send calls through though only music, radio apps, and any other non call related audio.

This being one of my first experiences with Bluetooth audio modules of this kind, I wasn't sure quite what to expect in terms of audio quality. My main goal for it was provide some convenience in my 2006 VW Jetta, by not having to physically plug my iPhone into the stereo dock connector. Unfortunately, the sound quality is pretty wretched, even by the relatively low standards of the stock stereo and speakers. The audio sounds roughly similar to all those FM transmitters that were popular several years ago to accomplish the same task.

I would not call myself an audiophile, but I do recognize subpar sound quality when I hear it, and, sadly, this module exhibits it. As far as the rest of the features, the Bluetooth connectivity works roughly as expected, and I experienced no particularly untoward issues in this area, assuming you're patient with the module during connection/reconnection.

The only things this module has going for it are small size and low price.

I plugged this little guy in and within 30 seconds I was listening to music from my phone! Better still, the steering wheel controls worked for advancing to the next and previous songs as well! When a call came in it was not routed to the speakers though. The only real complaint is the sound quality. There is a slight humm/hiss when it is connected. It's so slight that I actually can't hear it while driving though so it really isn't anything to complain about I guess. I am using it with a Blackberry Curve 8320. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. You can't beat the price!

I'm now using it with a droid x and it is working well.

Sounds worse than my Aux jack in my car. Figured this would be pure digital, but it comes out very muddy sounding. Sounds Horrible.
