This case is the mother of all cases. I've used this in construction environments and the case took quite a beating. There are scratches all over the case, but the phone was well protected. The only annoying thing was that you had to open it up to use the screen and the keyboard.

The aluminium case for my Verizon VX6700 is awesome! This beats any other phone case that I've ever had HANDS DOWN!

I ordered my first case in March 2008 and appreciated the protection it gave my phone but noticed the screw on the side sliding out within 2 weeks. The following week I noticed the case connection between the 2 pieces starting to tear although its aluminium. I contacted the company and they sent me another case "out of good faith" at no charge. The same day I got the new case the old case actually broke apart. PLUS the same day I placed my phone in the second case I noticed the connection already having a tear in it. Again its a great case for my phone but the screw and connection strip holding the two parts together tore really quick.

The case doesn't close very securely and the phone can easily fall out if dropped. I had to superglue velco strips on the clasp to keep it from opening when falling. Also, the belt clip doesn't stay screwed in when in use. It often unscrewed over the course of a day, and the case+phone would fall to the floor. I solved this by supergluing the threads so that it wouldn't unscrew anymore.

After 4 months, the case finally snapped in the back. I'm not sure what happened, but I think that the case couldn't support the weight of the phone with the extended battery.

Otherwise, I feel this case has provided ample protection against falls and whatnot after my modifications above. I've dropped my phone several times, and this case has kept it safe (except for the antenna) each time. There were a few occasions where even the phone fell out despite the velco clasp. But this is better than nothing.

This case works well. I have dropped my phone and it has never been damaged. The cover has popped open when dropped, so you may want to doctor this up with tape. The case was reviewed a another site as being the best for this phone. It is reasonably priced, too.

I never got my order even after a month after I placed it. They reply to you email with false info. Always saying its on the way. One item that i did get was the wrong item. You have been warned. Be very careful from these guys.

This protects my PPC 6700 wonderfully... I've dropped it many times and this case protected it like I wanted... No scratches, nothing... Having room for the extended battery is great too, because the extended battery adds hours and hours too the life of my phone.
