Spurgeon's Commentary on Great Chapters of the Bible,
By
This review is from: Spurgeon's Commentary on Great Chapters of the Bible (Paperback)
This modern English update and compilation of Charles Spurgeon's comments on and insights into what he considers the great chapters of the Bible is just incredible. It is an indepth and thought- provoking look at some very familiar, and some less familiar, passages. A great introduction to a gifted commentator on the Bible for those not already familiar with this famous pastor-teacher.

This review is from: Spurgeon's Commentary on Great Chapters of the Bible (Paperback)
Spurgeon's insights into the great chapters of the Bible are incredibly powerful. Tom Carter has done an outstanding job of selecting passages that are highly relevant and edifying for anyone seeking to tighten their walk with Christ. My favorites are John 15 and the Sermon on the Mount. My only regret is that there are not even more great chapters of the Bible included in this book. I was left wanting more; a sign of great writing.
