I bought this safe for my 10 year old son he loves it.He is one that is alway loosing things and since he has two brothers he always blames them. After he locked his stuff in the safe he had his brothers test to see if they could get in and they couldn't so he said "No One can get my stuff!" He checks it everyday and is so happy when he opens it.

My sons favorite toy. He stores all sorts of stuff in it to keep it safe from the bad guys!

Seems well made. We've changed the access code and he's learned a lot about locks and combinations and has to remember whatever his latest code is. Since getting his spysafe he's become very interested in other safes and locks. He gave the supermarkets big cash safe they keep up front near the registers a full checkout and announced it was inferior to his spy safe because it didnt have a bad guy alarm.

Dont worry though, its easy to change the code or pop the door open. Both are little recessed buttons on the bottom you can press with a paper clip.

His favorite thing to do is enter the wrong code a couple of times and then sets it next to me and runs away. It sounds a loud alarm, and he yells "look out, its going to blow!!!".

My nine year old son got this a year ago and still really likes it and still uses it. He keeps his money and Bakugan in it. Very durable--has survived several drops on the floor. Does not eat up batteries. Good purchase overall.

My son loves this toy and loves even more when his friends and sisters try to find out his "secret code". He has so much fun hiding things inside that no one else can see! We were worried that it was a little too young for him (he is 8) but that proved quickly to be a non issue! I think it is very durable and doesn't feel cheap at all! However, it IS a toy and should be used as one. Keep that in mind and don't expect a heavy duty metal safe.

My son has finally found a place to store all his game cartridges and he enjoys putting them away. He also has fun coming up with codes and seeing if his friends can break them. I suspect it would fall apart if someone got really frustrated and threw it to get at what's inside but so far it has withstood mild abuse pretty well.

This is a toy, not a ruggedly designed security safe. Ours was the model you have to assemble (they sell an assembled and an unassembled version). The assembly went OK, though you have to make sure all the "tabs" seat properly in their respective slots. Some took a bit of pressure and coaxing. Once together, it's solid enough for what it is. The electronics work fine and its features and voice are cool. The door pops open automatically, there's an alarm (about 4 seconds long) after 2 failed attempts, etc. For a childs first "toy / fun" safe, I don't see why anyone would be all that dissapointed - perhaps the non-working model reviewed was a fluke. If you want something a little more serious for an older child, you can find similar digital safes (real safes) online for less than a hundred bucks. But as with all other Spy Gear stuff we've purchased, I'm satisfied with this product. My six-year-old loves it.

The Spy Safe that replaced this one (with the magnet entry) is NO GOOD. I want to buy another one of these but cant find one any where. Why did this company stop making this one. THIS SAFE IS AWESOME!!! If anyone knows how I can get another one of these, please let me know.

Wild Planet needs to make these safes again. Great product!

My 10 year old grandson loves the digital alarm safe! It was a big hit as a Christmas present. I like the fact that it can actually be mounted to the wall in a closet or wherever.

I bought this for my 6 year old son per his request. It's simple to use and you can easily reset the password in case you forget it.

It has held up to a normal 6 year old boy's "use" for several months now. He likes setting off the alarm or making me try and break in to set off the alarm more than actually using it to "secure" items.

We have enjoyed it and we are happy with it. We'll probably buy several more for birthday gifts for cousins and friends that are his age.

Bought one for each of my two boys. They both love them because they "seem" high tech. They are super easy to break into though so that caused it to lose some of the glamour for them. Overall this is a cool toy.
