Spy Glass Classic Children's Telescope Toy

We weren't expecting much from this telescope. It WAS for a 3-year-old, after all. But it's really cheaply built and the turning mechanism has a really loose, almost jiggly feel to it. Wish we had just gone with a SUPER cheap one now.

this looks good but you can only see directly in front of you.

These telescopes weren't expensive and we didn't expect them to last forever. However, we did expect our children to be able to see SOMETHING through them. No matter the distance or the object we viewed, nothing could be seen but a blur. And shortly after we received the spy glass (we bought 2), one broke apart (the eye piece that telescopes down into the spyglass came unglued). If you are looking for a spy glass your child may get to enjoy for a while, I would suggest you keep looking.

Very disappointed with the quality of this item. There's no focus and you cannot see anything out of this "spy glass"
DISAPPOINTED...that I paid as much for shipping as the actual product and it's a cheap !

I purchased this spyglass from another vendor; it's going straight back. The field of view is tiny, and it can only focus on objects quite far away-- nothing within the same room. It is difficult to focus even on distant objects; my 4-year-old will not be able to use it. Disappointing. Save yourself the hassle of having to ship it back and choose a better-rated spyglass.

Of course it's a child's toy, not a telescope, right?! But, somehow it's made well, and seems a bit better than a toy, almost a real spy glass. Don't confuse this with a real telescope, but don't imagine it to be a piece of dime-store junk either. I'm betting our grand daughter will get lots of fun out of this.
