Get Your Spy Kid Fix!,
By
This review is from: One Agent Too Many (Spy Kids Adventures, No. 1) (Paperback)
My kids (7 and 4) absolutely love the Spy Kids movies. We watch them over and over. The kids frequently ask me when the next movie is coming out, and are quite dismayed when I can't promise them that there will be a "Spy Kids 20". I was thus quite excited to discover that there are Spy Kids books! This is the only one we've read so far-- chapter by chapter over a period of a week or so. It's a little advanced for my kids' age group-- my 7-year-old would frequently have to stop me to ask what a word means, and my 4-year-old would get pretty wiggly (there are no pictures), but they were both always anxious for the next installment. The story is classic Spy Kid action and humor. We got a good Spy Kid fix and a vocabulary booster all in one. My only problem with it was trying to come up with a Spanish accent for their dad's speaking parts... Practice makes perfect though, so we'll definitly be trying the next book too!
