4.0 out of 5 stars Fun and Original, April 2, 2005
This review is from: Spy Kids Adventures: Oss Wilderness - Book #4 (Paperback)
I've been reading the Spy Kids books to my kids, ages 8 and 5. So far we've enjoyed them all, but I think this one has been my favorite to date. Carmen and Juni save the world again with lots of cool gadgets and daring spy work-- this time while at summer camp.

Most of the kids' "series" out there these days are endless pages of poorly-written drivel. The Spy Kids books though have real pizzazz-- zany villains, amazing gadgets, perilous situations, and likeable heroes with distinct personalities. I enjoy them along with the kids. As a parent, I also appreciate that they use a respectable vocabulary-- there are usually a number of new words to explain to my kids and add to their repertoire. There is also usually some fun foreign culture or travel, and some new Spanish words here and there. Best of all, the Spy Kids manage to be ultracool while still having a good relationship with their parents and with each other.

I hope the author can keep up the good work-- we're waiting for our shipment of book #5!

4.0 out of 5 stars Buy this book!, November 16, 2003

This review is from: Spy Kids Adventures: Oss Wilderness - Book #4 (Paperback)
After doing a book report on this book and eading this book, I think that this book is super cool. If I could, I would give it 4 and a half stars but I couldn't. It is about when Carmen and Juni are sent to summer camp. When they get there, they find out that is a spy camp run by retired OSS agent Oscar Zohn. The kids are sent on a mock spy war but get hurt. The 2 kids are on the case. They find out that O. Zohn wants to find the Atmoso Amulet that controls the worlds weather so he can take over the world. He hypnotizes the other kids to be on his side. Will oscar zohn rule the earth forever or can Carmen and Juni save the world? buy this exciting book to find out! It is way worth it!!!!
