Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

This Spy Kids CD is better in theory than in reality. The adorable young spies from the movie set the stage for each mission, but that's pretty much where the fun ends. There's a Guppy (the spy boat) racing game in which kids avoid boats, rocks and other obstacles, and a sound matching activity involving the use of spy gadgets. Missions lead children through Floof's castle in search of the Third Brain and the "world-stopping" transmooker device. While all this sounds good, the tasks have a thrown-together feel and are uneven in quality. Negotiating Floop's castle was unusually tough for some testers, and on one computer (with Windows ME) the game crashed during a critical moment. The worst part is that after losing three lives, kids have to start all over again.

Amazon.com Product Description

Get your gadgets and decoders ready--it's time to train the next Spy Kid recruit--and that means you! Kids get mission briefings, and then join Carmen and Juni from Disney's Spy Kids movies for two mind-blowing Mega Missions. In Spy Kids: Mega Mission Zone, Mega Mission One requires recovery of the Third Brain and rescue of missing spies. For Mega Mission Two, Carmen and Juni need kids' help in finding and deactivating the Transmooker device before it's too late for Earth.

On the way to earning full clearance as a Level One Spy Kid, players master spy skills, collect cool gadgets, drive spy vehicles, solve puzzles, and explore action-packed locations from Floop's Castle to the Island of Lost Dreams. The game's 10 levels increase in difficulty to keep kids challenged. They'll decipher sounds, navigate twisted rivers, outrun crumbling cliffs, and try to stay cool in bottomless pits, while battling Magna Men and Thumb-Thumbs. And for super tight spots, there's R.A.L.P.H., a super-secret robotic assistant.

I think the title says it all. My 9 and 6 year old didn't find it interesting at all. They became frustrated with it almost immediately.
