A wonderful excursion into a world of details.,
By A Customer
This review is from: I Spy Spooky Night: A Book of Picture Riddles (Hardcover)
This is much more than just a children's book (although I'm sure it delights kids.) Amazingly detailed and photographed scenes draw you through a series a pictures detailing a journey through a spooky house. Along the way you search for items in the pictures, but it's much more than a simple find-the-hidden-objects puzzle because the scenes are filled with dozens of weird things that you aren't even asked to find. This book is great fun with friends of all ages!

If you like any of the I SPY series of books, you'll love this one. The photos are all quite gripping; ghosts, haunted houses, etc.... A perfect gift for any kid (or adult) who loves spooky puzzles!

another hit,
This review is from: I Spy Spooky Night: A Book of Picture Riddles (Hardcover)
This book is so much fun. I am a thirty one year old collector of "children's" books and I absolutely love this series. I discovered the I Spy books in a dentist's waiting room and simply fell in love. The riddles are challenging and I Spy "Spooky Night" like I Spy "Treasure Hunt" tells a story as you go along. I really hope that the plotted I Spys are a trend for the future of the series. The photographer of this series, Walter Wick, is an absolute genius.

Enjoyable with all ages, put on your glasses!,

From big "kids" to tiny tots (even my 2 year old finds the items we seek), everyone will love this I Spy version. The pages are creepy, crawly, yet full of delightful clues and items that one doesn't expect. Be sure to look for the teeny skeleton in each set.....Good light and reading glasses are recommended for the older set, but the kids seem to find the most! This I Spy was a valued member of our I Spy collection, which I put out not just at Halloween time, but bring out all year round

Creepy,
This review is from: I Spy Spooky Night: A Book of Picture Riddles (Hardcover)
When I tried to donate this book to a local library, the children screamed. No way were they going to give up their spooky looking book, with lots of riddle limmericks and hunt-and-find fun to keep them busy into the wee hours. Betcha can't find all the candles and cobwebs, spiders and witches' brew in this year-round Halloween gem. Alyssa A. Lappen

I Spy A Winner!,
By J. Nowicki "The Boss and Mrs. B." (Bay City, Michigan United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: I Spy Spooky Night: A Book of Picture Riddles (Hardcover)
The I Spy Spooky Night book is one of many 'I Spy' books our family has enjoyed. We have the 'I Spy Extreme Challenger!', 'I Spy Super Challenger', 'I Spy School Days', 'I Spy Treasure Hunt' and the 'I Spy Mystery' book just to name a few of them. They will entertain no matter what your age. Our children and now our grandchildren have pulled these books out many times. They are like magnets and will draw in whoever is around to your side to help find the hidden I Spy items. Here's a hint. If, no - when, you have trouble finding any of the objects turn the book upside down and that just might help. The I Spy Spooky Night Book in combination with the Boo-opoly Game will provide some frighteningly good Halloween entertainment. ~ Mrs. B.

A great interactive book for school age children,
This review is from: I Spy Spooky Night: A Book of Picture Riddles (Hardcover)
My son loved this book. He got it for his birthday, and now I am looking for others in the series to buy for him for Christmas. This is a great book for preschoolers and children in grades K-2nd. My son enjoyed it immensely!

Rather Imaginative!,

My daughter was enthralled with this book and had her brother do the "I spy" with her from time to time. We have a whole ton of the "I Spy" series books and she would page through these books rather loyally; the books do create children's awareness of what is around them and my daughter is rather sharp eyed. However, I do see some pages repeated from book to book. For instance, we found 2 pages in this book that were in other books we had as well.

I know where the Striped Cat is...,

This review is from: I Spy Spooky Night: A Book of Picture Riddles (Hardcover)
I was stumped for a while on the striped cat as well - it is on the stomach of the stacking doll (the matroishka dolls from Russia) that is sitting on the bookcase (top right corner of the right page). Now - if you would please tell me where the third spring is on the library page!!! I love this book and so do all four of my children! My husband and I fight over who finds things first! It's a hit!

Definitely for older children,
By Tiza "Tiza" (ME) - See all my reviews
This review is from: I Spy Spooky Night: A Book of Picture Riddles (Hardcover)
I bought this for my four year old grandson who enjoyed it to a point (he loves books where you look for things) but this was not age appropriate for a four year old even a very bright one. As one reviewer said, the pages are very dark and it was difficult to see and find the images. I don't think my son and daughter-in-law were too thrilled with it but we did have fun doing it together as a family. There were a few items none of us ever found. It is definitely a book for older children and I am sure they would really enjoy it.
