Product Description

Developed from the popular Mad Magazine comic series, the White Spy and Black Spy do battle on your Nintendo Entertainment System in this split-screen action game. Your mission is to penetrate the foreign embassy, obtain the top secret briefcase and leave in time to catch your private getaway plane. Players control their spy's every action as the zany agents in black and white search for items needed to complete the mission. To escape, each spy must acquire a passport, secret plans, keys and money. The search gets more challenging as the number of booby-traps are increased. But remember where you put them -- booby traps can backfire, so be careful to not get caught in your own trap!

5.0 out of 5 stars It was better when I was younger!!!, November 20, 2010
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Spy vs. Spy (Video Game)
I use to think this game kicked-Butt...but several years ago I played against a worthy opponent. I AM SPEAKING OF 2 PLAYER MODE...1 PLAYER MODE IS MORE OF A TRAINING. You have a time limit and every time you die you not only lose some time but have what we could call LIMBO. This is great for any lover of MAD MAG, or SPY vs SPY fan. You set traps, there are like 4 different ones. There is a bucket that is electrified and you place it at the door. When someone opens the door they get fried, but you just have to pick up an umbrella to make sure this doesn't happen to you. This is split screen TOP and BOTTOM. You can see what the other player is doing. You need to find 5 items I believe I could be wrong. you need a briefcase, a key, a bag of money, a passport, and a plane ticket. The Briefcase will hold all the inventory so locate this first. Otherwise you can only hold one item in your hand. When you have all 5 items, find the door with the plane on it. The game if funny, fun, and builds memories. Back to my Opponent, we were both equal at the game and it would always end in a CAT's game.

-Thanks

5.0 out of 5 stars Spy VS Spy... Need I say more!!!!, October 6, 2009

Now this is a simple game that is more fun to play against your enemy, siblings, or in-laws! Whenever my brother and I got into a fight, my fabolous dad would pit us against each other in this old, simple graphic game! We never did ever get to the airport, to busy extracting revenge with the differnt vilent kills (for that time period). We would always forget why we were mad at each other, giggling over accidently booby trapping ourselve in a room. As for 1 player mode, it's alright. It's the same thing over and over, with not as much laughs as with 2 player mode.

I give this game a five star rating simply because of the fun you can have while playing with a loved one. But if you're looking for hard NES games that both challenge and anger you, this isn't for you. I highly suggest only getting it if you have lots of siblings or friends who you would love to just pester for an hour or so. As for me, I'm waiting till Thanksgiving on my dad's birthday to give it to him. He's been talking none stop about buying it, which I already did. I'm happy with it, he'll be happy with it, and if you're looking for a funny get back at you game, then you will be happy with it to.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good game against your friends, November 28, 2001
This review is from: Spy vs. Spy (Video Game)
This is a must have for those people who just want to one up their friends. You both play as spies in a single building. Each building is a level, and there are only eight levels. As the spy your mission is to find the exit to the building before the other spy. Ofcourse the other spy is looking for the exit too, so you must set traps, such as spring doors, buckets of acid over the doors, bombs, and other traps to stop him. When one of you die, you start at the beginning of the building again. Its a nice game, but there is no challenge in the one player mode, so it goes by very quickly.
