This tongue-in-cheek espionage story is bursting with colorful manga-influenced art, thrilling action sequences, and just the right amount of humor. The often-goofy plotline is grounded by believable teen characters, albeit ones with secret identities and penchants for defending the country from evildoers. The relaxed writing style with touches of sarcasm will attract both male and female readers, and the spy-movie references and anime-inspired action will appeal to older comics fans. Misleading title,

I am a huge fan of David & Mhan's Spyboy series and this one, subtitled Final Exam is anything but final. I was loving the story from beginning to end, surprised by the final revelation, but the cliffhanger ending with not more stories in sight leaves a sour taste in my mouth. I feel like someone enamored by a tv series only to be left with a cliffhanger ending and the series canceled right after that.
Still, if you're a fan of the series I recommend this book. PS: This book is a manga sized tpb.
