this gun is good for any paintball player new to the game or and old pro it is semi auto and is fully metal (not the black on the handle) the barrel chamber and bolt can be removed to fix any jam in battle the entire gun is a great buy. i know i love mine and from my expereance you will love yours too

My son bought this for his girlfriend who is new to the sport. It is a nice beginner model and the face mask was of better quality than he expected. Good value for the price.

This is my first marker and I think it lives up to its reputation as "great for those who are new to paintball." It fires consistently and doesn't chop paint - the barrel stays clean all day. It is not so accurate at longer distances, but that's what barrel upgrades are for I guess. I already had a face mask and extra tubes, so I didn't need the whole starter kit, just the marker, tank and loader. For the money, this is a great purchase, however, I do see myself upgrading to something better (double trigger, burst/auto options, etc.) eventually. PS: watch out for the thumb screws that attach the loader to the marker. Mine fell out and were lost in the field so I had to replace them.
