Product Description

Based on the background green found in the U.S. Army’s Digital Cammo, the military foliage green Endura4 and Delica4 are designed for both military and civilians. The color is a shade-shifting mix of gray and green that effectively disappears into its surroundings. Spyderco offers this new handle color option on the revamped Delica4 and Endura4. Both models now have screw construction making cleaning and adjusting easier. Their fiberglass reinforced nylon handles come molded with Bi-Directional Texturing® for traction and improved ergonomics. Inside the handle dual skeletonized stainless steel liners make the knife stronger without adding weight and create an anchor that external and internal components attach through, adding more sturdiness and rigidity. Their VG-10 blades are flat saber-ground with a stronger tip and larger 13mm opening hole. Added to the blade’s spine is slip resistant jimping. Phosphor bronze washers smooth out the open/close action and the clip is upgraded to a four-way tip-up, tip-down, left- or right-handed clip.

The knife is very well made.
William B.
It's very thin so it just disappears into the pocket and I forget I'm carrying it.

I had never heard of a Spyderco Delica blade until I read about them in my American Rifleman magazine. The author of the article had good things to say about it. The one point in the article that stuck with me is that they claimed the blade held it's razor edge longer than any knife he had owned. I have carried a Gerber clip pocket knife for a number of years and the only knock I've had against it is that the blade edge gets dull easily. So far the the blade is holding it's edge quite well. I also love the easy unfolding of the Spyderco. It is nice and quick.

Back in High School I purchased the original Delica and carried it every day for a decade. When I lost it in 2001 I found myself constantly looking for it to open a box, cut rope, or a thousand other things. When I opened the package and picked up the knife I immediately felt like I found an old friend. Sounds cheesy - yes, but when you have a knife that is immensely useful and comfortable to use you never forget it. Worth every penny.

It is hard to go wrong with this knife! It is super sharp and had remained that way for almost a year now! The only issue is that the screws for the belt clip work themselves loose so I've had to tighten them occasionally. Some Locktite would probably fix that though.

Just a Great Pocket Knife. This is actaully my second Delica, since I lost my first one on vacation. I didn't consider anyhing else because I loved my first one after over a year of ownership. My new one is foliage green (my first one was black). I like the color-it's less conspicous clipped inside my pocket. The pocket clip is well designed not to snag. It holds tight onto any type of material including slippery polyester. This Delica knife is lightweight, unfolds, and refolds easily and naturally. It locks open with confidence. The blade is great (that;s what makes the knife great). It stays sharp and the partially serrrated edge does not dominate the whole knife edge. That is, there is enough standard edge to make the knife useful for most jobs. The edge stays sharp through most tasks. It shapens easily. The serrated edge is very useful for cutting rope. It cuts easily through even thick nylon rope. The hand grip is very "grippy" and has a natural overall curve in the palm of my hand. Even with wet or seaty hands the grip stays fast. I will never regret buying this knife. If I loose this one I will replace it with the same.

I love my Spyderco Delica knives. They are slender and lightweight so they don't weigh down my pocket. I find them very easy to open with the flick of the thumb. The blade size makes opening the Delica easier than some of the Spyderco's longer blades, and working it regularly helps loosen them up even more, so it's great for smaller hands. I have a Benchmade knife, several Emersons, and a variety of sizes of Spydercos, but my go-to knife on a daily basis is this compact Delica for its ease of use, light weight, thin profile, 'just right' size, and reasonable price. (For those who might think Spyderco knives are expensive, compare them to Emersons or Benchmades and you'll see Spyderco knives are a bargain in comparison.) However, I wouldn't call the color a true "foliage green." It's a grey-green, and more grey than green. The color is enjoyably subtle.

Love the Delica and love Spyderco. The Delica is a scaled down version of the Endura. it's great if you need a smaller knife if you are in an environment where something large might turn heads. Pocket clip can be moved to one of 4 different positions. I have this setup for weak hand pocket carry. I prefer serrations and I prefer the lock back type of the Endura and Delica. I don't like liner locks as they tend to collapse under pressure at the worst possible time. These knives are very light and built extremely well.
