Big Knife, Big Handle,

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Spyderco Forager Micarta Plain Edge Knife, Green, 14 -Inch (Sports)
I've been a fan of Spyderco knives for years. The quality and unique style of their products is alive and well in the Forage. The blade is marked Spyderco on one side and Jerry Hossom design, N690Co-Italy on the other. The fit and finish of this knife is excellent as are the materials used. My knife arrived razor sharp, unlike some other knife brands I've purchased recently. My only complaint with the knife is the handle: first it is very long, too long for my liking compaired to the size of the knife, second the lanyard hole is located to near the edge of the grip. It looks like it could crack easily if subjected to hard use or being dropped. I'd have designed it with the grip about 3/4" shorter and centered the lanyard hole. That said, Spyderco never ask me to design a knife and I'm sure Mr. Hossom's reputation will survive my observations.
