5.0 out of 5 stars bad to the bone
I love the almost arrow head look to the blade. Solid made in the USA . I do not like made in china spyderco knives at all. It fits in your hand, like a fine glove . Perfect for every day carry or I buy only serrated ,so great for out doors if u can't shapen . I prefer the serated version as it cuts rope fast and stays sharp for ever . Pam spray makes for a good food...

3.0 out of 5 stars Expected Better
I purchased this knife after losing my previous spyder co and expected better. After reading the product description that this specific model was made in Colorado and not with Japanese metal that breaks. The reviews were good but its a little pricy so I gave it some thought and decided to buy it. I liked the knife till the second day when the tip of the blade snapped off...

I purchased this knife after losing my previous spyder co and expected better. After reading the product description that this specific model was made in Colorado and not with Japanese metal that breaks. The reviews were good but its a little pricy so I gave it some thought and decided to buy it. I liked the knife till the second day when the tip of the blade snapped off! the plain edge dulled quickly but the teeth stayed sharp which is the reason I still like the knife.

Pam spray makes for a good food grade oil and you'll love cleaning it with pam oil . Mineral oil is fine also .never use wd40 etc . Clean after each use . I bought the original Endura spyderco when they first came out seki japan steel and its like new after tons of use and some abuse. A plus , get the native

4.0 out of 5 stars My husband loves it, March 7, 2011

My husband told me a year ago he wanted a spyderco knife when we were walking around the mall one night and made our way into a knife store. He showed me the model he wanted and I wrote it down so that I could remember the model#. This knife was exactly like the one we saw in the store except the clip was on backwards. He said most clips on knives are on so that the knife can be flipped open easily when you pull it out of your pocket and this one is on in the opposite direction. Everything else about this product as well as the speed of delivery is fully satisfactory.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well designed, December 6, 2010

This is such a nice knife. Well designed and fits in my had very well. I saw a young lady setting up at Whole Foods one day and she took out a pink one! Her boyfriend gave it to her. Small, but not too small. Practical and VERY sharp. I have had the Eudora before and it is bigger than this one. I have no use for just a stright edge knife and the combo on this is mostly serated. That is a plus for me.

Not as flashy as some of Spyderco's other offerings this knife has incredible utility. I use it as any everday carry knife. It has an impressive piercing tip and a serrated edge to cut through just about anything (within reason) you can throw at it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product but not perfect., March 23, 2010

Spyderco has the best designs and you know it is great quality when you hold one. Open it almost effortlessly with one hand. Press the release to close it and feel again how well it is made. My only disappointment has been that I broke the tip of the blade off. I was totally surprised when it happened and am unhappy with how brittle the blade is. I was able to sharpen it back to a point again but know now that it is not made to be a hard working knife. If you don't have one yet you are missing out.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say this knife were designed for MY hand. I have always been happy with Spyderco products, but the Native is my favorite (so far). It is made of excellent materials, and reflects some dramatic improvements of some features from the past. You've got to love the one-hand-open thumb hole.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding EDC!, December 11, 2011

After having recieved my first Spyderco for Father's Day last year, the Endura w/Emerson Wave, I've been hooked on Spyderco blades. Absolutely love the Endura, reason I also own the combo varity of it but I'm not always in the mood to carry a 4" blade and so I searched around and though I'm also a Cold Steel fan, Spyderco won again. I'd considered the G-10 handle but weight was something I wanted to keep at a minimum so I went w/the FRN handles and will say I'm extremely pleased w/the decision at 3.2 ozs sometimes I even forget its clipped to my pocket. Serrated portion cuts like a chainsaw, and the straight edge is as sharp as a razor. Its become my primary EDC, I like it that much. Show it off quite often and the response is always positive, very impressive lil guy, definately worth the purchase.

husband loved this knife. his uncle had bought one for him right before he left for iraq. well after a year over there and then about 6 months back here of constant use, it was still in great condition. until one day it was left on the bummer of the truck and after the hour drive home...it was never seen again. come christmas, he was thrilled to see a brand new one! spyderco is a great company and this is no exclusion.
