VERY ENTERTAINING, addictive, and fun.

Graphics were fine, colorful and pleasant, but not shockingly beautiful like in "Harvest Moon" or "Myst" games. They are probably average for games released in FY05, which is to say fairly crisp and enjoyable.

I shelled out the $50 for this game because I have a cold and I thought it might help take my mind off my runny nose. It sure did! The afternoon flew by (and today I feel much better). So far the hardest challenge has been successfully completing 1:42 Sgt. Byrd flying-obstacle-course/shoot-em-out. It took me, well, more than 10 tries. (We'll leave it at that. I'm not a very talented computer-flier.) Otherwise, the enemies seem to die pretty easily when confronted with my fire-breath. The challenges are varied, and the game provides lots of exploration adventure. It requires many drago-acrobatic maneuvers, most of which are achievable within 1 to 3 tries. (Not too frustrating, which is good for a 30+ adult who is relatively new to gaming.)

Overall, I would recommend it for kids or for the kind of adults who have tried Halo and found themselves stuck in a corner getting shot by everyone else. You know . . . the adventurer types who enjoy exploring fun environments and blowing up the occasional ugly bad guy, but who get bored by too much violence. ---MATA

This game is completely enjoyable. What a comeback after the last Spyro game flop. There are many worlds to explore, and characters to meet. You will see familiar and new characters alike as you journey on. The humor throughout the game was a plus, and had me laughing out loud more than once :)The game is not easy and it's not too hard, so it has been very enjoyable for both myself and my nine-year-old son. Great job!! Worth the money.

THIS GAME IS GREAT. WE RENTED IT FOR PS2 AT BLOCK BUSTERS. WE LOVED THE GAME SO MUCH THAT WE BOUGHT IT FROM THEM. THERE ARE MANY REALMS YOU CAN VISIT, GET NEW BREATHS LIKE FIRE( WITCH YOU ALREADY HAVE FROM THE BEGINNING) ELECTRIC BREATH, AQUA, AND FREEZING BREATH. THERE ARE MORE THINGS ABOUT THE GAME, BUT IT'S SO LONG , i CAN'T WRITE IT ALL IN ONE REVIEW. SO GET THE GAME AND FIND OUT MORE. I SAY IT'S NOT A WASTE OF MONEY AND IT'S A GAME THAT WON'T FINISH IN ONE DAY.

I totally love this game! I think its got fun, little minigames to help save the world in different places. I just get a frustrating time during the sargeant bird's minigames. You get timed and I really don't like to rush that much. I love the characters! They are really fun and lovable. I like listnening to the music and everyone who did the voice acting was awesome!!! I like how you can see where you are going and where you are by the map screen. Although, I don't like it when it still has black spots showing where I haven't been and yet I have been there. I like being able to get different abilities such as different breaths and being able to buy stuff! I love it especially when I'm about to die, you know? I really liked this game and, yes, I have finished it! I hope everyone enjoys this awesome game as much as I did. SPYRO ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love dragons!!!!

I like adventures games. This one is on my top ten. This game keeps me busy. You have the main adventure. You also have mini games that are challenging. well some of them. keeping paragraph short, this is a good game and i would recommended it for anyone who likes adventure games.

"Spyro: A Hero's Tail" is a rather fun game. Story-wise, the evil dragon named Red scattered Dark Gems everywhere, and Spyro and his friends must destroy them and stop Red.

This game has very large areas to explore and a lot to do. There are several huge worlds, each made up of several locations, like Crocovile Swamp and the Sunken Ruins. Once you destroy all the Dark Gems in one of the big worlds, you can defeat a boss and then go to the next world. There are many things to collect, too, like Light Gems for powering the Professor's gadgets (that can make you invincible or extra strong, for example) and dragon eggs for unlocking extras like concept art or two dragon characters to play as (which are pretty much identical to Spyro, though). Also, whenever you destroy a Dark Gem, the area around it gets pretty again, which I always liked. You also can get different breath attacks throughout the game, such as electric breath or ice breath, that are useful for different things.

This game also has five playable characters. Normally, you play as Spyro, but there are special levels where you play as other characters, Sparx, Hunter, and two new characters, Blink and Sgt. Byrd. With Sparx's levels, Sparx has to fly through somewhere, shooting enemies along the way while trying to survive until the end. (His levels can be a bit difficult and frustrating.) Hunter's levels are fun because you can take advantage of Hunter's speed and bow. Blink's levels are underground (because he's a mole), and you must destroy Dark Gems. (These levels can also be a bit frustrating due to Blink not always being the greatest jumper.) Sgt. Byrd's levels are my favorite of the four extra characters, where you must fly through all the rings, shoot all the targets, etc. within the time limit.
