I've only played this game a handful of times, but remember how much fun I'd had. I got this one so the whole family could play. While the wood board is great, I don't like the glass playing pieces. For starters, they always feel just a little sticky, like they need to be washed. And upon arrival, several of the pieces were broken. I'll probably be buying more durable pieces soon to replace the ones sent. Because I'd only played a few times and years ago at that, I didn't know how to play. Well, the instructions were worthless. I tried to play a game with my kids and follow the instructions, but they don't explain how a turn ends or continues, what a capture is (there's no mention of capture at all) or how to end the game or how a person wins. I had to go online to find simple instructions so I could play. They playing pieces and instructions should be of better quality to match the board.

Mancala is one of the most popular board games in the world, and one of the oldest; game boards have been found in Egypt dating back to 1400 B.C. It's a relatively simple game that only requires counting, and it's very fun, for both kids and adults.

Most Americans who are familiar with the game are only familiar with the two-player version, but throughout the world, people play mancala with three, four or even more people. Why not try it for yourself with this board?

The board itself is nicely crafted out of wood, and folds for super-easy storage. Give it a try! You'll be glad you did.

Excellent game for family fun! We have played 2 man mancala for several years, but now the whole family can play together. Enhances critical thinking skills and strategic thinking for our children. Highly recommended!

Our family loves this game. We play several times a week. The only thing that could make it better is if the manufacturers would include polished stones instead of the glass pieces. We also have a two player game that included the stones and there is something really wonderful about using these as opposed to the glass pieces. You could even use beans or little stones the children find at the beach or swimming hole.

As I mentioned in my title, even very young children can pick up strategies and win at this game.

Most Mancala games are for 2 players. Hard to find one for 4. This is a gift and I was pleased to see how attractive and well made it is.

This game is really well made. Solid wood with pretty glass pieces, much higher quality than I expected. So many games are cheap plastic or cardboard. It was on the expensive side but once I received it, I felt it was worth the price. And it's a fun game - try the variations to keep it fresh.

I bought this 4 player board for my classroom and the students love it. We had the 2 player board and everyone was always fighting over who got to play and this allows 4 students to play at a time! So much fun!!! The board has great craftmanship...could use a layer of clearcoat over it though...making it a little bit smoother! I would recommend this product to everyone though!!!

This is not your average cheap craftmanship wood Mancala set. The entire outside and insides are smooth and very well sanded. It is really a beautiful wood that is used. Not sure what kind it is but maybe a maple. The glass marble like pieces have a lubricant or something on them initially but we ran them under the hot water in a collander with dish soap and it came right off. Our set came with a few extra prices too, that was nice.

We have had two person sets before and this is by far the nicest we have owned.

Before this I had never played Mancala with four players or even knew that it was possible. My 6 year old son loves playing it and plays it all the time at school. I was looking for a nice board game that was fun, easy to set up and didn't require hours of playing time (my family owns and enjoys monopoly, but you know one game of that can be pretty lengthy). When I saw this 4 player Mancala set, I didn't hesitate in buying it.. this was just what I was searching for! The board sets up in just a few minutes, individual games aren't as langthy, and you can play with 2, 3, or 4 players (unlike the normal 2 player Mancala sets).

The product itself is very nice. The board is made of a nice wood, the stones are colorfyul and durable, and it folds in half for easy storage and/or travel. It does not look cheaply made and it feels very durable. rules are easy to follow and as long as you can count, you can play!
