Bought my laptop 1.5 years ago and also purchased Square Trade warranty.

Computer crashed and the claims process was fast and easy.

Email updates kept me informed of the process, and within five days I had a refund.

I am very pleased with every aspect of Square Trade!

I bought two used laptops on Ebay in June 2009. I then bought two Square Trade Warranties. Almost immediately, one of the laptops stopped working. The seller gave me a full refund and I was able to cancel my Square Trade Warranty and get my money refunded. The other laptop lasted just a couple of days after my warranty kicked in and then the backlight display stopped working. I called Square Trade, they evaluated the problem and said to send the laptop to them. They sent me a pre-paid shipping label. Once they checked out the machine, they refunded the full amount of my purchase. I couldn't be happier. Instead of loosing the full amount of the purchase, It only cost me the amount of the Square Trade warranty which was about $71.00

I bought a SquareTrade warranty for my Motorola Razr. When the screen cracked and the phone locked up I filed a claim. I thought they would just immediately send me a new phone. Instead, I had to mail my smart phone back to them across country and then wait and wait for them to fix my phone. I guess I wrongly assumed they would just ship me a new one and I would send back the broken one. Boy was I wrong. I paid $70 something for the warranty and then had to pay $99 as a deductible as well. For that price I could have bought a new phone. I will not waste my money again.

I bought my 2 year Squaretrade Warranty when I bought my used iBook through e-bay. The iBook cost $400, the warranty cost $50, and I am so thankful I bought it. 5 months after purchasing the iBook, the logicboard died. It turns out it had been a recalled item that was never taken care of, and the recall had expired.

The Squaretrade claim process was VERY simple and quick; just a few details about what the problem was, and what we had done to try and resolve it. Because the warranty was bought on an e-bay item, no receipt was necessary.

I heard back from Squaretrade the following day, and received a link to a pre-paid UPS mailing label, which I printed, and stuck on the box containing the packaged up iBook. 3 days after sending the iBook, I received another e-mail saying they had received it, and would get back to me and let me know if repair was possible, or whether they would just refund the purchase price. Two days later, another e-mail saying the refund had been approved...and a further 2 days later, the money back back in my Paypal account.

I have been using Square Trade for my electronics warranties for over two years now. Recently I bought a laptop for my son and then purchased the warranty from Square Trade, including Drop and Spill coverage. Well, it dropped and the screen broke. I immediately contacted Square Trade and within a day they had approved my claim and began processing a refund of the money I spent on the computer. They sent me a postage paid UPS label to return the damaged computer. I was able to buy a new computer for my son and all is well. Oh, and I bought another warranty for the new computer.

Well worth the money and great service! Thank you, Square Trade!

I bought a computer off Ebay and almost did not purchase the Square Trade Warranty. I am glad I did, after 9 months the computer developed problems and I called Square Trade. I did not think I would be able to file a claim, but the people at Square Trade talked to me like a real person. They e-mailed me an affidavit to sign, which I did, and sent back and they put the purchase price in my Pay Pal account. When I find a computer to replace the one that died, I will purchase a Square Trade Warranty. Well worth the investment.

I've had the Warranty for almost two years now - and thankfully had no need for it until last week. Due to an unfortunate mix of my lack of grip and the existence of gravity - my iPad lost a fight with a tile floor. The process for receiving a replacement/funds is so easy it hurts my brain to wonder why other places make it so hard. I work in the IT field, so I'm used to having to call four people and fill out 12 forms just for a replacement part - let alone a full replacement or refund. All I had to do was log onto the website and fill out a few fields - and my request for repair/refund was sent. Next, they emailed me an overnight UPS label - I packed up my iPad, and away it went. Within two or three days (it was right before Thanksgiving that I sent it in) I received notice that they received my iPad, and that low and behold it was too old to fix - so they would simply credit me an Amazon gift card for it's original worth (not what you could buy it for on Craigslist - which is substantially less) - you decide when you submit the form what method of payment you would prefer - since I am a Prime member on Amazon and order entirely too much from here, I figured that would be my best bet - but you can also request a check for repayment if you prefer. Honestly, I bought the warranty as a hedge - just in case (largely expecting to break my iPad years ago if it were going to happen at all), but now I view it as an essential purchase. Seriously, save a few hundred and get one of these with whatever device you're purchasing.

I have had to use my Square Trade policies two times. Each time was the easiest method ever. The people I talked to were so congenial and helpful and each problem was taken care of within 3-5 days as promised. I have recommended them to many of my friends. I will NEVER buy anything without checking with them for a policy. I LOVE Square Trade.!!!!

I filed a claim near the end of January because my battery stopped charging. It is now February 12, and I still don't have my computer back. Better yet, Squaretrade can't even get a hold of the outside company they use to fix the computers to check on the status of my claim. They say in some cases it may take longer than 5 days. They say they will let you know if that is the case. I haven't heard from them since February 6th, when they accepted my claim.

When my computer had trouble, SquareTrade asked for photos -- I sent them in within 12 hours of the request but NEVER HEARD BACK! After a week, I called and spoke with a new representative (not the original person, who had stopped responding to my emails), who tried to refuse my claim, as if by second nature. On multiple occasions, they offered to "buy back" my warranty. This is their tactic to effectively erase all evidence you had a warranty at all and avoid taking care of your claim. Finally, after the representative spoke with her "senior manager" they suddenly decided they could repair it (I suspect she never even talked to the manager -- these are just the tactics they use).

Days later, after SquareTrade missed multiple phone appointments which I had changed my schedule to accommodate, they denied my claim -- the technician's report contained multiple inconsistencies, but when I called to point out the inconsistenties, THE REPRESENTATIVE HUNG UP ON ME! He yelled at me, "You're not listening" and then -- click -- he hung up on me! After hanging up on me and without asking, they sent back my computer unrepaired.

TERRIBLE COMPANY -- THEY WILL LIE TO AVOID HONORING YOUR CLAIM. THEY WILL HANG UP ON YOU AND IGNORE YOUR CLAIM. They use their tactics to talk people out of their claims.
