For large items with in-home service, a local technician will contact you to schedule service within five business days of claim approval (Since in-home service is dependent on the customer’s schedule, repair times are not guaranteed within five days). You can fax or email SquareTrade your item receipt at any time, and they will store it as proof of purchase. Cancel anytime. In the first 30 days, you may cancel for a full refund. In a period of about 1-1/2 years, I had to file two claims with Square Trade. Both were handled quickly and in full. A laptop that was all but two years old, and a desktop that was over a year old, both quit on me during that time. Square Trade quickly reimbursed me for both items, each time I began the claim. They paid for the items in full. I actually felt guilty for having two claims in a short period of time, but have warranties on several computers, GPS units and other office products. If you receive e-mail notifications from them, you get a lot of 30% off offers, etc. Square Trade Rocks!

Response to questions was prompt and acurate. Took one week to get the money though. I applied moneys to Paypal thinking quicker refund since I was replacing laptop. I will use ya'll again.

In June I purchased a refurbished laptop along with a squaretrade warranty. In January the power supply in the laptop failed and I contacted squaretrade and the service was great, after sending in my laptop (postage paid), a few days later I was reimbursed the full amount paid through pay-pal which was great. I am now purchasing another laptop and again the squaretrade warranty.
