Although I have not had to use the plan, the plan appealed to me because i wanted to purchase a piece of electronic gear. After reading some of the horror stories in the review section, I decided that a small investment in a warranty would and should be worth the piece-of-mind that this 3 year warranty offered. I hope I never have to use it but it is there if I do.

Picked up an extended warranty through Square Deal for a new Blu-Ray player, it cost under $15. Almost two years later the Blu-Ray player would no longer play discs. I called the 800 number and was promptly served by a representative. I described the problem to the rep and was told that a prepaid shipping label would be in my email and to send the player and accessories using this label. My player was packaged labeled and dropped off at a UPS store the next day. Three days later I received an email from Square Deal informing me they had refunded the full purchase price of the player. Upon checking my account I found the cash had in fact been deposited.
I researched Square Deal after this great hassle free experience and learned they will warranty purchases made from almost any source. As far as I'm concerned its a no brainer, for complete, hassle free coverage Square Deal is the only way to go.

I have at least 20 squaretrade warranties and I know that most times you will think its not worth buying the extended warranty or read articles saying that extended warranties are a net loss, but with squaretrade this is not the case.

If you buy a portable device like a tablet, phone or laptop, squaretrade's accidental damage warranty is much cheaper than any store bought warranty and after you buy one warranty you will get emailed coupon codes non stop for at least 20% off making their warranties even cheaper. I have had to repair a tablet a laptop, a motorcycle gps and a phone under the adh program and within two weeks max I had my repaired item back.

I also have been refunded 3 times for purchases where the repair would cost more than the items was worth like my keurig, a laptop i bought off ebay and my logitech revue.

Over all I have saved a lot of money by buying squaretrade and their customer service is amazing. Filing claims is a piece of cake with their online process and all you have to do is email your receipt to them as soon as you can so you never have to worry about storing it somewhere safe.

I always get squaretrade for my electronics because even if I go through an extended warranty without making a claim on it, the money I have saved so far will always be more.

I have purchased more than a dozen and a half Squaretrade warranties, and with kids, and with life's little adventures, it sure does provide piece of mind. Not only that, but their claims service is hassle-free. I have filed 6 claims and have had the item repaired and back to me within ten days, or have been paid the full value of the item within only a few days. Squaretrade is a life saver!

I have just filed a claim on the first item I had Square Trade Protection on, a bluray player. I had contacted the manufacturer tech support people, who were unable to correct the problem, and said I should file a claim with Square Trade. I contacted Square Trade, who verified that I had the unit insured with them, sent me a return shipping label by email, and as soon as they received the unit at their location, issued me a check for the full retail value of the product. The entire transaction required one phone call, one trip to a UPS dropoff point, and one trip to the bank to deposit the check. The total time from the phone to the bank was less than two weeks. This was an entirely favorable experience. Square Trade is a reputable company that honors its claims in a timely and efficient manner. I would reccomend them to others, and intend to use them again in the future for extended warantees on electronics I purchase.
