" I have had many warranties on electronics in my time, but nothing has ever come close.... not even a manufacturers warranty.. to the way a claim was settled on 7-19-10 with my SquareTrade warranty. In less then 5 days I was reimbursed for the full amount that I paid when I purchased my 47 inch LCD TV. I will use SquareTrade Warranty and recommend them to everyone I know...

I have a SquareTrade warranty on a large screen 42 inch HDTV. I specifically purchased this warranty because of the SquareTrade reputation and previous warranties I purchased. This warranty stated when I purchased it that any TV over 32 inches would require in home service.

To make a long story short. SquareTrade advised me that their new policy is to have TVs up to 42 inches sent to their authorized repair depot. I waited 11 days to receive the box and never received a return postage paid label. I am 50 years old in decient shape but I needed a neighbor to help me disconnect the TV from the wall and it was still heavy. We had a very difficult time removing the TV from the wall bracket. The box they sent was too small the box ripped as we attampted to place the heavy TV in the box. I felt the box and packaging had it not been too small would have not fully protected the TV from the vigors on how UPS treats their packages anyway.

I complained to SquareTrade by phone for about the 4th or 5th time since my claim and they finally advised they would reimburse me the full price paid for my TV. My neighbor and I immediately struggled and placed the TV curbside for the garbage men to take. Note: I was informed after my 5rd call that I could have had the TV fixed and they would have paid for it but felt it should have been been handled that way from the start.

I am still waiting and hoping to receive my check as I write. SquareTrade has to think about senior citizens or single females that purchased TVs and warranties through SquareTrade that the last thing they want to do is have to wait for a box, package the TV to send it to the depot, wait for USP to send 2 men in a truck and hope the TV get to its destination without damage from transit.

Its day 14 now without a TV. I will purchase another TV but this time it will be over 42 inches so I don't have to repackage it in a box when it fails to function.

I purchased a Vizio TV in January of 2011. I also purchased a Square Trade three year warranty at the same time.
Recently, the TV started to malfunction.
The manufacturers warranty had just expired, so I contacted Square Trade.
I received an immediate response. After providing symptoms and serial numbers, etc. in confirmation, I was advised that a service company would contact me.
Quickly thereafter, they did. I gave them some requested info as well as a few photos of the problem.
Within a day or two, I was advised that it would not be cost effective to repair the problem, and that I would be issued a full refund of my original purchase price.
You cannot beat that for service.
I have since bought a new TV (not a Vizio), and added a new Square Trade warranty on it (4 years this time, to be safe).
I HIGHLY recommend Square Trade based on their quick action and the ultimate outcome.
Honest and trustworthy.
I am a very satisfied customer!

In terms of filing the claim, the online/e-mail process of requesting the TV repair through Square Trade was effective and efficient. There were progress e-mails that were sent along the way to let you know where they were in the process of assessing the issue/ordering parts/scheduling the repair/etc. I like that you also had the option to call your claim in or talk to a representative to find out status information as well.

In terms of the repair, the people who came to service the TV were very professional and knowledgable. They efficiently replaced the burnt out power board and were very polite. They arrived when they said they would and had the repair done in 15 minutes.

The TV works great again. which makes my husband very happy!! :) Thanks for a great TV repair experience!

I have purchased several SquareTrade warranties, but never had the need to use one. I was not sure of "Just how good" the warranty was.

I just made my first claim, and I am now a SquareTrade customer for life!!!

My claim was handled by "Joe" and could not have been more professional, friendly, and efficient. Within 2 days, my claim was settled, I had a UPS prepaid mailer for my product to be returned and a credit issued on Amazon.com, for 5% more than the original claim amount.

That ladies and gentleman is called CUSTOMER SERVICE. A very rare find in today's fast pace world. Thanks again SquareTrade.

Do not buy this warranty!!! In case you have a claim they have trained Sr. Claim Specialist to do everything to deny your claim. They pull up some manufacturer manual and find some reason not to honor the claim. I know they do not care whether they get a good or bad review as long as they sell the warranty and deny the claim. Just like the Health Insurance Industry deny claims if you had some pre-existing condition 105 years ago. Or better Banks to make huge profit and the turn to the tax payer to bail them out .................

I purchased a 2 year warranty on my Gas Plasma TV awhile ago from Squaretrade and my the gas plasma tube went out over the weekend. Called Squaretrade to let them know that my TV no longer works and the customer service rep said no problem and sent me an affidavit to sign and fax back. I received the affidavit, signed it and faxed it back to them as soon as I received it. The next day I received an email saying that they received my signed affidavit and cut me a check for the price I paid for the TV. While this will take 7-10 day for me to receive, this is by far the quickest and easiest warranty resolution I have ever encountered. With that said, I will always purchase a warranty from Squaretrade!
