In the interests of full disclosure, I am an accordion player, so I'm prone to be partial to Those Darn Accordions, and do have a number of their CDs. Yet, I found this disc to be somewhat uneven, and it wasn't until listening to the disc three times that some of the tunes started to grow on me. To be sure, the first song is almost genius, a rock parody that mimics several genres. The second, eponymous cut is very inventive, and the third has some witty lyrics. If the rest of the disc were as good as the first three cuts, I'd give it five stars easily. But, the rest of the disc grabbed me not. The last song is kind of a downer, and should have been put in the middle of the disc so that it could be forgotten. Some of the other songs seemed kind of pointless. On the other hand, great kudos for the accordion version of "Back in Black," which rocks with all the intensity of the original. All told, I'm glad to have the disc, albeit not quite their best work ever. If you've never sampled TDA, I'd recommend "No Strings Attached" first.

Paul Rogers has emerged in this album as one great song writer. This Song, Tandem Bike, Glass of Beer Polka (with Drew Carey) and Blame it on Those Darn Accordions are all well written and fun to listen to. The cover of Back in Black is breath taking. It's Now or Never provides stunning vocals by the ladies in the band. If you've never listened to Those Darn Accordions, try this one. It will have you coming back for more. And if you get a chance to catch them in concert, you're in for some great entertainment.
