The Squeezo Strainer made by Best Products today is the same as the old Garden Way Squeezo Strainer later made by Lemra Products. Made the same as it was 25-30 years ago and still made in the USA. The Squeezo is made to last a lifetime and is designed to get the most juice and puree with the least amount of effort. In a short-period of time, the Squeezo can turn a large harvest into juices, sauces, jams and jellies that can be canned or purees that can be frozen for later use. Great for making baby food too! No peeling or coring is necessary! Simply place your tomatoes, berries, steamed apples or vegetables in the 2 ½ quart hopper, push the fruit or vegetables into the Squeezo with the wooden plunger, and turn the handle . . . then watch as the sauce and juice pours down the drain tray into your bowl, free of seeds and skins! The seeds and skins are discharged into a separate bowl. No Plastic Parts to Stain or Retain Odors! The "All Metal" Squeezo has a die-cast aluminum scroll and an aluminum hopper, so it will not discolor, lose its shape or retain odors. The only non-metal parts are a rubber gasket and nylon bushing. All parts are replaceable.

I purchased my squeezo 3 on a garage sale and used it for the first time this year. What a easy piece to work with. All metal you know it will last. All I had to do was quarter the apples and cook till soft and run them through. This worked so well, the kids even joined in. It at times would start pushing the sauce out of the scrap end, but I removed the screen and cleaned it and we started again.

I bought mine in the mid 70's and it still works great today. I bought the replacement kit for the rubber gasket when mine hardened a few years ago and it fits fine. My husband and I just completed saucing a 5 gallon bucket of tomatoes in about 15 minutes and they are simmering into sauce as I type this. Don't hesitate to buy this. It is well worth the money if you make a lot of tomato sauce or juice. When my daughter was younger, we made a lot of apple sauce with it too. Friends and family used to borrow ours, but after a few times they went out and bought their own.

I love this machine!! I first got one over 30 years ago and have loved it ever since. I lost my first one in a fire a few years back and found a used one on Amazon to replace it. I would not be without this machine at canning time. I have made tons of tomato juice, applesauce, pumpkin pie filling, jams and much much more. I love the fact that it is ALL metal, not plastic and that it is made in America not China!!! If you do lots of this type of canning or freezing this is the machine for you.
