This review is from: The Squiggle (Paperback)
When you sit down to read this book with your child make sure you have a red or any other color "squiggle" of your own in your pocket or close by so that once you are done so you too can imagine wonderful objects and things with your squiggle!
I love the illustrater just focuses on the little girl and her new magical squiggle, there is nothing in the background. And now that I've told you, you won't even miss that there is no background! Imagination is such a wonderful thing, something we must make sure that are children do each day. I also love that the author never names the little girl, so you and your child can name her yourselves! I like that Dragonfly books also take 2 pages - the back of the front cover page and the front side of the back page and uses them to add some more crafts and creative things that go hand and hand with the story you just read! Kiddos to Dragonfly books! The only thing that would make this book a 6 Star book was that it came with a red Squiggle!

a fun make believe book,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Squiggle (Hardcover)
I like this book more more than my three year old. All the things the squiggle can become are chinese things. It is good to have a nursery book where all the faces are not blond, blue eyed! The walk with the squiggle becomes full of giggles.

Similar to "Not a Box",
By SeaShell (WI USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Squiggle (Paperback)
From the storyline of a child using their imagination to create with a simple object, right down to the plain brown-paper background of the pages, this book is very similar to the popular "Not a Box". However, critics of that book's ultra-simple illustrations may find more to like in this book's colorful pen and ink drawings. A delightful story.
