5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, original twist on Sudoku, October 31, 2007
This review is from: Squiggly Sudoku: 200 Amazing Puzzles from the World's Most Popular Sudoku Web Site (Web Sudoku) (Paperback)
This is an excellent variation on the traditional sudoku puzzles for anyone looking for something a little different and challenging. Squiggly Sudoku puzzles are the same as the regular 9x9 Sudoku puzzles, except that instead of 3x3 boxes there are strange shapes each with 9 cells. After being used to looking at the squares of normal Sudoku this takes some time to get used to but it is definitely a fun variation. The great thing about this book is that there are so many different patterns of squiggly shapes so that each puzzle feels different. There are 200 puzzles in total, 144 are Squiggly but there are also 40 Classic sudokus and 16 Samurai sudoku puzzles. The samurai puzzles are five crossing 9x9 sudokus in one puzzle, they take a bit more time but are a pretty good sudoku challenge.

This review is from: Squiggly Sudoku: 200 Amazing Puzzles from the World's Most Popular Sudoku Web Site (Web Sudoku) (Paperback)
I've bought many sudoku books, but this one is the best. Why?

1. Great puzzles. A bit easy at first, but they get harder.
2. Great support. If you get stuck, you can go to their secret website and see step by step solutions, with logic, so you can learn where you are stuck and hone your skills in both classic and squiggly sudoku.
3. The squiggly/squiffy/jigsaw shape puzzles are really fun.
4. The paper used is high quality so it doesn't shred when you've erased the same puzzle five times.

All in all, worth it. I hope they do more.
