I used this as my main text during my radiology rotation as a medical student.

I loved it. read it cover to cover and found it to be very easy to read and every page was worthwhile.

I would HIGHLY recommend it to medical students who want to gain solid introductory skills in radiology. I now feel that I can look at just about any imaging study and either make an easy diagnosis or follow the readings of radiologists with ease.

I am a medical student taking my radiology elective (finally) in the spring of my fourth year. Our department loaned the book to us during the rotation. I've found it to be one of those few books that I will actually purchase to have on my shelf at home (and I'm NOT going into radiology). It is written in a pleasing, conversational manner. The illustrations are of high quality. The discussions are at just the right level for an introduction to radiology. And there are many little "problems" presented throughout the text for the student to puzzle over. The answers are either listed in back, or turn up later in the "conversation" within a few pages. Although it seems long (over 500 pp?), it is mostly pictures. I highly recommend the book.

This book contains a very well organized discussion of all the major topics of Diagnostic Radiology coupled with the latest imaging modalities of its time. It is a valuable tool for medical students who will not pursue Radiology as a specialty, but want to expand their knowledge considerably in this area.

It is a very well written basic introductory book. This book is a must for any medical student interested in imaging. To get the most out of a radiology elective, suggest reading this book cover to cover.

New to radiology, I found this book helpful, and an asset to my clinical training. Also, just an enjoyable read, with "unknowns" to test your knowledge as you go along. Excellent as a reference for those in other areas, and a good basic for the beginner in radiology -- probably the best "first" book to get. Highly recommend.

This is an excellent book for students preparing for licensing exams. It gives a brief, accurate description of every picture with explanations of the radiological differential diagnosis. Although, some of the pages are crowded with plates; many sections have sequential plates which helps students and doctors to identify the progress of pathogenesis or resolution of the condition. It is a good atlas for the library but I doubt if a lot of doctors would like to invest in it. A section outlining normal human radioanatomy in the beginning of the book and a section on interventional radiology makes it a complete pictoral guide for medical students and residents too.

Although it's not the newest edition, for my first Radiology classes it's more than enough. The text is very comprehensive and easy to read. A lot of "unknown" pictures that keeps you interested during the real studing. High quality book. I firmly recommand it for medical students that have their first radiology classes.

Good book for students interested in radiology or for residents in other fields doing a radiology rotation. Decent pictoral examples. Well written book to learn radiology from.

This book is very useful to anyone in or interested in a medical career. It is not only relevant to the medical profession but to the general public as well. Information contained in this book will educate the public about procedures that could or have already been performed on them. As a high school graduate about to enter into the Pre-medical program...I have found it useful in learning about the various forms of radiologic imaging. The book goes into great detail about how each form of imaging works...perhaps this is one of its weaknesses...it goes into far greater detail than anyone who hasn't had advanced medical training would need.
