This is an excellent book for beginning to intermediate squirt boaters or intermediate playboaters as many of the same techniques and principles apply to both. Learn about flow dynamics and how they relate to play/squirt moves. If you can find one of these in print, Buy It!

If you paddle whitewater, regardless of your chosen craft, you absolutely need to read this book. It isn't about squirtboating so much as it is an explanation of how whitewater works. It also includes the history of squirting, and hence playboating which squirtboating gave rise to, as well as some interesting stories. William Nealy (may he RIP) illustrations keep it humorous and Jim Snyder's commentary on whitewater in general will give you much to ponder, but the bottom line is, if you kayak, squirt, canoe, raft, shred or otherwise interact with whitewater, READ THIS BOOK.
