5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cassette
The SRAM PG1070 cassette is exactly what I needed to create a climbing machine out of my road bike. Shifts are crisp and quiet and no hassles at all to install. Unlike Shimano, you do not need the first little spacer on the wheel.

1.0 out of 5 stars 11-32T is NOT compatible w/ SRAM FORCE derailleur
Heads up! The 11-32T SRAM cassette is NOT compatible with the SRAM Force derailleur! No matter what one does with the settings on the derailleur, it does not work right. SRAM and Amazon need to make this very clear and obvious in their information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very nice cassette, June 20, 2011

I had to choose between this and the Red rear cassette. After doing my research I was still torn. This is a component where there is a real weight differential between the two lines ( Red and Force), and also a severe cost differential. I wound up putting this cassette on my new build and decided if I really wanted to drop some more weight later , I would buy the Red rear cassette and new race wheels. The Red cassette is beautiful, but for bang for your buck, save the extra $150.00 and get this cassette. You won't be sorry. It shifts just as smooth and I've had not one problem from the start with it. Shifts are clean, smooth and quiet. Great cassette.

4.0 out of 5 stars No Triple Required, June 6, 2011

Moved to the SRAM road group and put on an Apex long cage RD so I could go to the 32T from a max of 28T on Shimano. With this, I now have the range with a compact to go up steeper grades more comfortably. The 28 to 32 downshift is smooth. With 400 miles on it to date, so far so good. Note that not all Shimano-type spindles can accept SRAM cassettes. I needed some "coaxing" to get this on an Easton wheelset (didn't know until after install that Easton has a SRAM-specific spindle). It may now forever be mated to that spindle. Was easy on with a Mavic spindle.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for SRAM groupset, March 8, 2011

The 12-25 SRAM PG1070 cassette is the best value for your SRAM road groupset - Rival, Force, or Red. Yes, there are cheaper. Yes, there are lighter. This one is the best use of your money if you want a very good cassette for a reasonable price. Shifting is smooth and consistent. I got about 8,500 miles out of my last one.

The 12-25 gearing will give you good enough gearing for rolling hills and decent top speed for the flats but not the best for either. It's right in the middle of those ranges, so an 11-28 would be better for big mountains and 11-23 for fast flats with little climbing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Poorly packaged, November 21, 2010
Product is excellent and I recommend It with closed eyes. The problem was that it was poorly packaged without adecuate protection. Outer box and product box were broken during shipment. Affortunately item didn't suffer damage and is in 100% good shape.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, September 16, 2011

I bought this item to get the 27 tooth procket. My original cassette was a Shimano Ultegra with a 11-23, that was not enough gear for the hills. I bought the sram because shimano did not sell an ultegra cassette with this exact range. You give up the 11 for the 27 and the 23 becomes a 24, but you get to keep the 16 which is in the range that I ride most of the time. I can only push the 11 on a downhill about 1% of my riding time. So this compromise made the most sense. This cassette shifts more solidly than the ultegra did. Only time will tell how well it will wear. I have about 300 miles on it so far. The 27 with the compact 34 crank is plenty of gear for any hill around my house and there are many.

This cassette is light and stylish. I put this on my new build and it works great. I have a Sram Rival shifter set and it is great. This cassette is for Sram Force or Rival shifter sets by recommendation from Sram. This is a very light weight cassette coming at 210g and I would recommend it on any build if you want a lightweight and stylish bike. I have not had any problems with the cassette.

5.0 out of 5 stars More range with SRAM, January 28, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Replacement for a worn cassette, running with SRAM Force & compact (50-34) chainrings. This will give me a little more range than the 12-25 it replaced. Open gate shifting is quick & accurate.
