I read this series of books and found it to be full of a lot of information on all subjects. I enjoyed it very much, and have recomended it to my friends who wanted to know more on one of the most dynamic personalities in the last 500 years, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprapbu, whose birth and life are documented in this wonderful translation. His life has had an influence on the entire world. When you read the series you will understand what I am talking about.

This is a classic devotional texts composed by a great Vaisnava saint in the 17th century. It expounds on the life and teachings of the Medival Saint and Avatar, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who started a spiritual revolution in medival India, a time charaterized by materialism. Originally written in Bengali, this masterpeice has been translated by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, who has added extraordinary commentary to the nectarean verses. This is a must read for all serious spiritual seekers.

The stories presented in these volumes are engaging and endearing. Simply by reading them, one's heart is sure to awaken to the light and bliss of true spiritual life.

This set of books was purchased for my husband who is enjoying them very much. He studies the books every day and finds deep spiritual meanings in each volume.

When I began reading these books I thought they were just philosophy, since that is how they start out. But by the end of the first volume of the Adi Lila pastimes are woven into the fabric of the text.

I have now read and re-read the whole series many times and am amazed at what a new voyage it turns out to be each time through.

If you have a desire to learn about one of the most charismatic personalities in Indian history - Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu - and at the same time get a pilgrimage level view of the whole country, from north to south, then I heartily recommend this title.
