I have no idea what the other reviewer means when he says "A good "easy" tour ball if your style of game doesn't fit true tour balls."
The Srixon XV is a TRUE tour ball. It's a multi-piece premium urethane ball.
If you want to compare it to the Pro V1X, it has a slightly firmer feel. It's very long off the tee like the Titleist, and has decent spin around the greens. I actually prefer the reduced spin, it's drop and stop on full iron shots. Perfect. The regular Z-star is designed for more spin, if you prefer that.
Where this ball shines is the durability. It's amazing, you can literally play the same ball for 18 holes and it looks just fine.
Started using these after seeing the reviews and loved them. I enjoy them more than ProV1x and would suggest in buying these balls to everyone. Good feel, great distance, and tons of control. Not to mention the ease in my wallet!
I got 12 dozen of these for 19.99 and free shipping w/ prime. It will be a sad day when these balls disappear from the market, they are highly durable, long off the tee, and spin enough around the greens.
I haven't got to play more than 1 round with these. On that day I just didn't have it. Hard to judge the ball when not playing well. I have been playing the z-star. I tried these because the price was to good to pass up. Its not fair to the ball company or others for me to give a review at this point. I will say this. At just under 20$ a dozen and based on the feel off my putter and the felt good off all of my clubs i will not be disappointed in the purchase. By the way Srixon z-star covers seem to hold up well.
