Treat yourself to these - no they won't add 100 yards to your drive nor will they go fetch you a beer but they are definitely high quality balls and are a great step up from your Bridgestone or even Nike balls, for the money.

This ball does what it claims. Goes pretty straight and pretty long. It's also very durable (I'm guessing that's why it's called Marathon). This is a good ball for those of us looking to buy something that doesn't equal a mortgage payment, but still works pretty well from tee to green. I think that this is pretty much the AD333 from my experience and the feel of the ball.

I play to about a 12 handicap but really don't worry to much about the score, it is more for the exercise. Often my goal for the round is to play with the same ball all 18 holes if possible so needless to say the ball is often beat up if I don't lose it first. My main course is very woodsy and narrow so the Srixon Marathon are perfect for me. Since I am also getting a little older I need the extra distance but the balls also have the soft feel I like. Really impressed with the durability and so were my friends after seeing the ball I used the whole round. Highly recommended.

First let me say that if you have a swing speed of over 100 mph then look elsewhere.

Now for those of us who play and are tired of hitting balls that feel like a brick (pro v1, nxt, chrome, tp3, tp5, 20xi, etc.) and that don't fly that much, this little gem will come as very nice surprise to you. As an added bonus I have gained some yardage out of my hits, probably a good 10 yards. Additionally these balls are extremely long lasting.

Do yourself a favor, check your ego at the door and hit balls that are made for regular people's swing.

Though I am not a power player, I I find no reason not to award 5 stars for this ball. I can see how it would be a fantastic ball for someone with a stronger arm and faster swing.

This ball provides good distance off the tee, especially if you are a long ball hitter. I used to be able to routinely hit 250+ yd drives, but those days are done for me. I guess I'd have to say that now I play more of a finesse game (that's a polite way of saying that my long game has largely deserted me :-). Anyway, this ball plays quite straight, I didn't experience any excessive hook or slice as a matter of ball quality.

When it came to short irons, in my experience, this ball came off of the club face much like hitting a rock. The ball still carried well, but there was a lot of club shock involved with the strike. The ball didn't get quite as much loft as I'd prefer. FYI, I usually hit my 9-iron about 80-90 yards or so, and I got this out of this ball, but it felt like work to get it there. I also recently played with Srixon's Men's Soft Feel Golf Ball. I actually prefer the way that ball comes off of the club face and gains loft better than this ball...at least for my style of play.

Where this ball really came through for me was on the green. This ball rolls true, and I got a satisfying plink when my putter made contact. I was able to produce a high degree of precision (repeatability) in my putts when I used this ball on the putting green.

So, if for no other reason, I think I'll keep a handful of these balls in my bag to use on the green. I really like them there.

All in all, this is a nice ball. 5 stars.

I am not a professional golfer, more of an occasional weekend for fun golfer. Switching golf balls will not give you that boost to jump to the PGA tour, but at times if you have more confidence in your golf ball it will give you that added psychological incentive to improve your game a stroke or two during a round.

I liked using the Srixon golf balls, they are relatively inexpensive as far as golf balls go (a little more than $1 a ball). I used them on a weekend round of golf and found them to be a really good ball. I still have a slice, and one or two ended up at the bottom of a lake, but I enjoyed using them.

I can't speak to how they hold up over time, because normally my balls last a round or two before they are lost to the gods of the sea.

I think you will enjoy these golf balls if you are an occasional golfer. As someone who switches brands frequently I enjoyed them, if you are married to a certain brand I would suggest you give these a try and see how they compare.

I also wrote a review of the Srixon Soft-feel golf balls, which I gave 5-stars and really liked. I also really like these balls, as a good every-day golf ball, but I prefer using the soft-feel balls. This is completely a matter of personal preference - if you enjoy a nice hard "Crack!" when you drive the ball, then you might prefer these ones. Overall these balls work great, and I feel a little bad giving them 4 stars, as I can easily see other golfers who prefer the feel of these 5 stars, but this is my personal review afterall. You may like them, or not, but I think it's worth giving them a try.

Haven't played the balls yet too much but similar to that of a noodle or nike mojo, both of which I enjoy playing with. I am not good enough to spend money on top end balls and thing the paranoia of losing those said balls ruins my game anyways.
