Z-star SL Golf Ball
Product Overview

The Z-STAR SL is designed specifically for golfers that don't possess tour-level swing speed but demand the precision of a tour-level golf ball. The SL offers superior playability by balancing each aspect of STAR Performance technology (Spin, Trajectory, Acceleration and Responsiveness) to react to slower swing speeds. The result is a tour caliber ball with a high launch angle and exceptional greenside spin for golfers with slower swing speeds. The Z-STAR SL is available in both Pure White and Tour Yellow.

Very soft compression.

OK, these balls are fantastic and for me, every bit as good as the Titleist ProV1s.

Same ball you can buy in the Pro shop or at any golf store, but 25% LESS. On top of the price, these are a great ball for distance and true accuracy, I hit them further and straighter than alot of other golf balls I have used over the years, I will be purchasing these again.

Very soft compression. Long balls. Play well. I have begun to play yellow balls just because I can see them better particularly in the fall and winter. When Titleist makes the ProV1 in yellow I will switch back but until then, the Srixon are the best I have found and a great price too. I also like the Q Star. I am not sure I can tell any difference between the QStar and the ZStar and I am a 9 handicap.

Tried the Srixon Z STAR SL when my son-in-law bought some a couple weeks ago. This is the only ball I have tried in 32 years that has made an actual noticable difference. I am older and my swing speed is probably well under 100 MPH, which is what the SL is made for. The last three rounds, all that I played since finding these, I have averaged 6 pars per round. Only averaged 2 balance of the year, actually the balance of my golfing career! Srixon Z STAR hits so straight and long I played two rounds before I lost one ball,(wrong club over the water). These balls like it in the fairway and on the green; they don't seem to want to go anywhere else.

OK, these balls are fantastic and for me, every bit as good as the Titleist ProV1s. However, I get these balls at Golf Galaxy for $29.99 and sometimes cheaper when they run a sale and/or send me coupons...just sayin...

Perhaps like many of you, I once thought that a costly, rock-hard "tour" ball was the best choice. A lot of buddies played with Pro-V's and the like and went for distance off the tee. But the short game is where you save strokes; older and wiser.

I was offered a "ball fitting" when I changed wedges recently...I moved up to Black Pearl wedges. A softer ball like the Z-Star may cost me a few yards on the fairway, but who cares? I am more confident on approach shots, since slightly softer balls can be "shaped" easier. The ball flight is a better match for my swing speed (110 mph, amateur). I really like the Tour Yellow, which makes these bad boys easier to track and find.

These are good balls. I wish they were cheaper, though they are a bargain considering they are just as good as top end Titleist and Bridgestone
