Book Description

The McGraw-Hill international series in software engineering October 1991
This second edition focuses on the practical elements of SSADM version 4. The work is divided into three parts to introduce SSADM, explain its complementary techniques, and look at applications. The guide has been updated to reflect the results of the widespread implementation of SSADM. More exercises and examples, particularly in the sections on function definition and dialogue design, are included to suit students.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very complete, but not for beginners, August 17, 1999
By
As a college textbook for beginners, this book is less than ideal. (I studied it at college in England.) In saying that, it is a very accurate, exhaustive and intense description of SSADM and makes for difficult understanding if you're starting from scratch learning design methodologies. I found it very difficult to apply the methods to real-life situations. For those of you out there with at least some experience in a 'real' development environment, you'll probably absorb this book readily. I'll give it a fairly generous 4 stars for you seasoned developers out there, but a paltry 1 star for college students.
