This soap is a great value for the price. It's a very creamy soap that lathers up very well so you don't need a lot of it. Most importantly, it rinses off very easily. My skin feels smooth after using this soap. It leaves my skin smelling like vanilla and not dried out. I'd definitely recommend this soap, unless you don't like the smell of vanilla.

I'm usually very pleased with St. Ives products, but I was disappointed after trying this body wash. I don't care for its vanilla fragrance -- the scent is more like coconut to me. The label emphasizes its aromatherapeutic qualities and it's ultra-moisturizing formula, both of which I was not impressed with. I didn't find this body wash to be any more moisturizing than...

4.0 out of 5 stars Creamy, vanilla lather, February 11, 2011
This review is from: St. Ives Swiss Formula Moisturizing Body Wash, Creamy Vanilla, 13.5 fl oz (400 ml) (Health and Beauty)
I have found St Ives to formulate quality products. Their body washes are no exception. This vanilla body wash will not disappoint. It has a light vanilla scent that relaxes the body and the mind, smells great without being overpowering or too feminine, and creates a generous lather that moisturizes the skin yet rinses off easily. Like a good body wash, it doesn't leave a film on your skin. The other St Ives body washes are good, too. My other favorites are the Oatmeal and Shea, the Energizing Citrus, and the Cucumber Melon.

For people with sensitive skin, St Ives body washes may or may not work, as it contains parfums (fragrances) and Sodium Lauryl (or Laureth? I have to double check) sulfate. For those with only mildly sensitive skin, their products should be soft enough and work just fine. If you have a more serious condition, I suggest Aveeno over St Ives. Nevertheless, it is a quality body wash that is not tested on animals, is formulated without phthalates and parabens, and is placed in partially recyclable material. Worth your money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smells good, November 10, 2006
This review is from: St. Ives Swiss Formula Moisturizing Body Wash, Creamy Vanilla, 13.5 fl oz (400 ml) (Health and Beauty)
This was pretty cheap so I wasn't expecting much. But it turned out to be really great. It suds well but doesn't leave my skin feeling dried out. It has a mild vanilla scent that lasts even after the shower's done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good performance and value!, April 4, 2004

This is a great shower gel for dry or sensitive skin. It lathers up nicely in hard or soft water, yielding lots of vanilla-scented suds. The vanilla scent is subtle, not overwhelming, and leaves your skin smelling clean and slightly sweet. It won't interfere with your perfume. I have also noticed that I can sometimes go without body lotion after using this product, which is nice. A good value.

I don't usually try scented body washes, but my wife likes vanilla, so I tried it. I have to say I liked it, and she really liked it. I wouldn't put too much on, because it's a little strong. I'd recommend this to either gender -- it's not just for women.

This is a must-have body wash! It smells great and leaves my skin soft and clean. It doesn't leave a residue on my skin like some similar products. I also tried using it as a bubble bath and it was great as well -- lots of good smelling bubbles!

I enjoyed my experience with St. Ives Vanilla Body Wash. My skin was left softer, moister, and gently clean. I love the vanilla fragrance that lingers long after you're through bathing. I'd prefer it if the container sat upright and poured from the top, rather than from the bottom -- it'd be easier to control the amount I'm using. I'd recommend it to family and friends.
