Book Description

St Kitts February 2009
St Kitts or Saint Christopher to give it its full name, was first recorded by Christopher Columbus when he discovered the island in 1493. The most northerly of the Caribbean Leeward islands, St Kitts offers a delightful year-round climate with accessible sundrenched beaches and lush countryside. It is rich in history and culture and retains an unspoilt charm and serenity - and a special beauty all its own.Brian Dyde introduces the reader to the many attractions of this beautiful island, where to go and what to see, and in addition provides a background of the geography, history and natural history, people and culture, ending with a chapter of practical information. This is an indispensable and comprehensive guide for the visitor and one which is sure to tempt the traveller looking for the perfect vacation without the milling crowds.

I ordered this book since my daughter is going to vet school on St. Kitts. It had a lot of useful information on the island, the history, the economy, and the culture. It is now in St. Kitts for reference!
