So you're immortal and everything will be allright?,
By
This review is from: St. Leon: A Tale of the Sixteenth Century (Broadview Editions) (Paperback)
The main character gambles away his inheritance, moves to Switzerland and survives on a minimum with his family. Learns how to make gold, becomes immortal, and thinks that now everything will be allright forever. But that is not so, not at all!
Originally published in 1799, this book is highly readable even today. One can find elements of Frankenstein here (the author is Mary Shelleys father). |
