I've been a Cardinals fan all my life, experiencing the joys of one of the game's greatest franchises for over 50 years. Doug Feldman's detailed study into this wonderful team captures the imagination, stirring up personal memories from the '50s all the way to the present; from Musial to Pujols, and I love it!

Of course, this book covers the entire history of the Redbirds, giving any fan of the game a nice dose of "Cardinal Baseball History 101". It's not only a comprehensive history of the players & their accomplishments, it also goes behind the scenes, giving us a look into the various owners & front office personnel, including the legendary Branch Rickey and one of my all-time favorites, Whitey Herzog.

Feldman's latest gem is his best work yet, and I'm proud to have it in my personal collection, to savor for years to come. That's most definitely, a winner!

What a delight to read. My father took my older brother and I to a game at Sportsman Park in the mid 40's. As a young kid walking into the park for a night game blew my mind. Reading the book brought back fond memories of my childhood as a member of the knot hole club (wish I still had it) going to watch the Cards and Brownies . I've been a Cardinal fan all of my life, saw some of the greatest players. Memories I will always cherish.

I love the St. Louis Cardinals and buy most books published. This book was already in my collection and was somehow misplaced when on loan so I had to repurchase. I was very fortunate to find a very good conditioned, used edition. It is a wonderful collection of information about the past and present Cardinals. A welcome addition to anyones collection!

Very pleased with this book which will be a gift for a co-worker who is a Cardinals fan. Received it quickly in great condition.

There's no bigger Cardinal fan than me, but this book is overpriced and seemed to be slopped together in order to fill pages. I have to admit there are some great photos in there (Gas House Gang playing musical instruments), but overall, the book was a big disappointment. I got the impression that the author wrote books on all Major League teams and simply tried to fill up a book he could sell for a high price and make money off the true fans. Read it--exploitation. If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have bought it. Sorry. Go Cards 2010!
