A mitt is where you can slip your hand inside.
Diane
It is very hard to hold onto while trying to rub in the product because it doesn't spread the product around easily or evenly.
Melanie
Made application very easy and mitt washed off nicely too.

This mitt is a must have when applying St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse. It creates the most perfectly applied tan, and keeps you from over or under using too much product.

This is the exact same mitt that is sold with some of the St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse kits. It actually made by the St. Tropez company, this in not a knock-off version.

While the mitt works great, for the cost I do wish it lasted longer. I take very good care of the ones I use, always hand washing them after each use. But they're sort of cheaply made and definitely don't last more than one short summer. It's very thin, but I suppose if it was any thicker the tanning mousse would just get completely absorbed into it instead of onto the skin. One mitt lasts about as long as one bottle of the mousse.

Definitely don't try and throw one of these into the washing machine. Between getting tanner all over your clothing, it will just get torn to shreds. Just use a bit of and hand soap on it and rinse it out in the sink. Then set it out to air dry.

If these were priced a little less or lasted longer they would be a 5 star product.

From the online picture, it resembles an oven mitt, which would allow you to slip your hand inside. However, it is only a flat piece of big and bulky foam, black on one side and white on reverse. Difficult to hold to apply the tanning lotion. Some lightweight plastic gloves found in the household items department at a local drugstore worked better for me. The 10 pair per box type. They are cheap and disposable, or you can leave them on your hands after tanning product has been applied, wash with a good hand soap, hang them to dry, and re-use. Just squirt a small amount of the tanning lotion onto the glove (add a pea-size amount of moisturizing lotion and mix together for easier application), rub first in circular motion over skin area and then up and down in smooth strokes until desired coverage.

Great concept but the mitt is cheaply made and fell apart after 3 uses. Its a shame because using it does give a streak free, easier application but the mitts need to be made more durable..important to clean the mitts after use as the product will build up on the mitt

Falls apart after just a few uses. Maybe it would last a little longer if you have tiny hands. Don't know how they justify the price for such a flimsy product.

I've never used a mitt before so I'm just going off of this mitt. I liked it, I do put on a disposable glove under it, cause the tanning stuff does go through it, but when I do this, it keeps sliding off, I'm going to try without the disposable glove and see if it slips off still. It's very easy to clean, even if you don't clean it right away, I waited 4 days cause I forgot, just put a little dish soap and came clean almost like new!! It doesn't leave streaks which I've always gotten streaks from just using my hands, I would recommend the mitt with any self tanner 😺

This is overpriced garbage. I don't know if you can use a latex glove and sponge? That might work better than this.

The applicator mitt soaks up a lot of the product, which seemed like a waste. I just started using latex gloves to apply the tanner and they work just as well and don't soak up anything so you're not wasting product. And you don't have to rinse them out after, just toss them in the trash. The other thing I didn't like about the mitt is that it doesn't stay on your hand very well, it kind of slides around your hand and sometimes even slides off mid-application. It's just cumbersome. Don't waste your money, just use gloves.
