Great Stabila level, great design and shape for a "torpedo". But for this money it should have a case to keep it in while in your tool box. You can buy a holster and/or case from Stabila (Amazon) but that's another $20 to $35. Loses a star for that.

This is an amazing level with a magnet to beat all magnets. The adjustment vial is great for working with varying slopes and has a very smooth/solid action. The level is heavy and well made. After years of using inexpensive plastic levels I am reminded that you get what you pay for and you don't know what you are missing until you use it. After trying it out in my shop, I can highly recommend this level. This level deserves a case, you won't want to just throw it in your tool bag.

After seeing the other comments/complaints about the leather Stabila holster, I discovered the Klein 5139B 12-1/2-Inch Cordura Ballistic Nylon Zipper Bag was an affordable alternative for storing my magnetic torpedo level. An as an added bonus this ballistic nylon zipper bag is made in the USA.

This review doesn't need to go into a lot of monotonous useless verbosity. It's a Stabila. Need I say more?

Stabila is A W E S O M E !!! This is an electrician's wet dream. It has a grooved bottom to fit onto a pipe and the vials are perfectly aligned. It only has one magnet, which is good because two-magnet levels seem to work against each other when you're leveling between two metal objects.

This is a great level, very well built. All of the positive features have already been well covered by other reviewers. While not inexpensive, having been frustrated by several cheaper levels I finally decided to invest in a quality tool. What a difference. You do, in fact, get what you pay for. Magnets are very strong. Highly recommended.
