5.0 out of 5 stars New and Improved Case DOES hold up.
Just read the review from SoCal Framer and his disappointment in this case. I was confused because I have several Stabila cases and they really hold up. Then I noticed that his review was from August 2000. That was 6 1/2 years ago. I remember the first cases that Stabila had, and yes he is right, they were awful, plastic inside and nylon outside. Well not to worry,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing
The only levels I own are Stabilas. In the past, I had been so disgusted with various non-Stabila levels (particularly M-D, or Mecklenburg-Duncan) that I once threw one (a M-D) into a freshly poured concrete retaining wall for additional reinforcement. When you pay that kind of money for a Stabila level, the idea of purchasing a case to protect it is very tempting...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, August 19, 2000
This review is from: Stabila 30025 Jamber Level Case (Tools & Home Improvement)
The only levels I own are Stabilas. In the past, I had been so disgusted with various non-Stabila levels (particularly M-D, or Mecklenburg-Duncan) that I once threw one (a M-D) into a freshly poured concrete retaining wall for additional reinforcement. When you pay that kind of money for a Stabila level, the idea of purchasing a case to protect it is very tempting. Over the years, during various promotions at various supply houses, I have received cases free with my purchase of Stabila levels. Well, save your money. Just pulling out the level and replacing it at the end of the day wore out the inside of the case within two weeks, and I was very careful. The exterior of the case fell apart almost as quickly and the zipper wasn't far behind. The nylon became very brittle so there was no way of repairing the case. Very disappointing for a company that is known for a fabulous product line, unsurpassed in quality and without question the best in its field. I suggest what carpenters and many others such as tile setters do - buy a 3" or 4" diameter 4' to 8' length of ABS (or PVC) pipe, cap one end and put a threaded adapter with a threaded cap on the other. This will also protect it from being bent if you drop something on it. Besides, it's less expensive.

Then I noticed that his review was from August 2000. That was 6 1/2 years ago. I remember the first cases that Stabila had, and yes he is right, they were awful, plastic inside and nylon outside. Well not to worry, Stabila redesigned this case several years ago and it is now made of a canvas like material on the outside and cotton fabric inside. No more plastic to crack or tear. Buy this case with confidence, the velcro closures on the pockets are a nice addition as well.

I purchased this case along with several Stabila levels to fill it out. A great way to store a wide variety of levels. Any beam levels of the appropriate lengths will fit in this case. Well constructed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does what it's supposed to, October 28, 2006
This review is from: Stabila 30025 Jamber Level Case (Tools & Home Improvement)
If you have more than one level, or really want to keep it in great shape, this is the item for you. Padded for protection, it makes rolling your levels out or up a breeze. Looks snappy, too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Jamber Set Case, July 18, 2000

You've made the investment in you levels, now protect your investment with this case. When I received this case, I was surprised to find that it not only carried the Jamber Set, but also had another compartment to carry a four-foot level. This was not mentioned in the discription. The case is made of a padded nylon product that is both very durable and protective. It has both a handle and shoulder strap that allows convienient handling when both hands are full. I believe the the only improvement that could be made to the case would be a padded hard side version. I highly recomend purchasing this with the Jamber Set.

The outer case is durable. The cloth lined inner case fits the levels snug and protects well. Just what I was looking for to keep levels together, protected and clean. I'm a general contractor, so I use daily and product is just as described and serves its' purpose well.

This is a fantasctic product. We purchased 2 levels and are going to purchase 2 more and with this product they can be stored safely and all in the same place no more wondering where they are or worring about them being damaged, moving them from job site to job site.or in the garage at home the case hangs against the wall for easy storage. When you spent this much on a tool you want it protected and in a safe place.

This is a really nice quality product that will hold all of your Stabila levels in one easy to carry case. If you own more that 2 Stabila levels I highly recommend this case. This is a must have if you own the jammer set.
