The Stabila Non-Magnetic Builder's Level is a professional-grade tool ideal for framing, trim carpentry, and tile applications. Designed with a wider profile for added strength in the box beam frame, this builder's level also features oversized rubber hand holds for comfortable use and a metal hang hole for storing the level on site. The level includes rubber end-caps and anti-slip wall pads that grip the walls for added level stability; the end-caps can also be removed for flush measuring when scribing corners or reading tight header and sill openings. The 3 acrylic vials (1 horizontal and 2 vertical) are guaranteed to never break, leak, or fog; with a permanently calibrated, epoxy-locked, crystal-clear design and internal spring steel hairline indicators, these vials are readable in any direction and have a certified level accuracy of .029 degrees in both vial-up and vial-down readings. The yellow electrostatic epoxy coating provides high-visibility and resistance to mortar adherence and corrosion. I work as a carpenter for a San Francisco contractor, and I bought this level a couple weeks ago. It is easy to read and completely reliable. My fellow carpenters love to use it, as do I. High quality, made in Germany. Guaranteed accurate for life (as long as you don't bend the frame). If you can afford it, I would very much recommend this level. Rubber protectors at each end are removable.

I use my Stabila levels for both carpentry and tile work. Regardless of the task they perform magnificently and live up to the promotional advertising you read.
I own eight Stabila levels and find each one to be indispensable, different lengths for different functions. I appreciate the light weight and removable end caps and the durability and clarity of the vials.

A three foot level is not a very commonly owned tool. I don't work with or even know anybody else who has one besdies myself and people are always trying to run off with it. But I say NUts to that and keep it stashed where nobody can get at it. Except for me. Mostly it's good for putting in oddly sized windows and i guess it's aight for throwing in 3-0 doors, it fits snugly between the jambs and all that, in case you just really don't trust your two foot level or whatever. But yeah, mostly it's just like a four footer but shorter, or a two footer but longer. As goldi locks said at one point or another, "it's just right". So there you have it. Be cool. Own a three foot level. Stabila preferably.
