This was an excellent book that my 9 yr. old daughter enjoyed! Diamond was an old horse that no one wanted to ride except one girl who went on to win a trail ride competition. Excellent story with great character building!

I have purchased all of the Stablemates books, because my grandson loves horses. I read them to him everytime he comes over. We both very much enjoy them.

Both my daughters love horses and books from the Stablemates series realy helped the older one (now 8) to start reading on her own couple of years ago. Now I still buy the newly published books in hopes they will do the same thing for my younger daughter next year. she is 6 now and already trying to read them now, but they are probably more suitable for second graders since they are chapter books.

of all the books i've read with my young children, this is top 5 material. great themes about believing in and deciding for yourself, trust and relationship building, self confidence, and actually trying something before you cast it aside. especially appropriate for kids that may be too susceptible to peer opinion as it does a good job (in only 34 pages) showing how those opinions may not be right.

I am very pleased with my purchase and the books are a good find especially for the price, my child loves them.

My daughter is getting "Stormy" for Christmas also to add to her growing collection. Arrived in plenty of time for Christmas. Thanks!
