5.0 out of 5 stars Staccato, December 10, 2001

I've always loved Imajin and I figured that once they went solo, we'll finally see the immense talents that got hidden during the short time we knew them.
Now this debut album by Talib is for starters very credible to him. How a guy his age can put out a CD that was well produced, written, masterminded by him is top producer quality. The tracks on it are amazing- the intro is fast paced and sadly short. Certain tracks which are my personal favourite is 'Do u wanna' a sweet makes u wanna cry slow tempo track which at some point switches to a reggae type beat. the song's about missing out on someone u love and hoping they'd give u a second chance. 'Like What' is the kinda track that gets u off ur seat, too good to be missed, u'll find urself going 'like what?' time and time again even when the song's over. track 7, has attitude- the guy's finally taking a stand from the girl who keeps giving him that bullsh... U gotta understand, try it again and u get dumped for real.
The most beautiful track award on this album has to go to Track 8 what's making u sad. First time I heard this I was almost in tears- so guys can actually feel stuff! So beautifully composed, and his voice sounded so adorable u'd just wanna go 'awww'. So realistic- the guy actually wanted his girl to tell him what was wrong so he could make it right for her [the ending is so, so beautiful, the acapella made its impact] Tracks 9-11 feature tracks by artistes in the addlib crew- Sterling, Lil Ak & Kameelah [a rap duo] and Jibril, all which were produced by Talib, all which are very much worth listening to.
Such a beautiful album and we get to see the hidden voice of Imajin- very soulful and the tracks accomplished what they set out to do- either to make u dance, get honest, think, and show another side to people. Album is truly one of the best 2000 brought forth. Looking forward to the next one

Well, I've never heard this cd B/4but I'm sure it's good cd, B/cause this boy was in a great group with alot of talent. I never knew he had a solo cd and that I know I'll buy it.
